Should I go ahead with this?

Dear warriors:

This morning I've received an jv email (see below - bold letters):

"I have a large list of clients that will likely be interested in your product, however I have a few requests of you:

  • I would need to be able to offer your product at a discounted rate.
  • I need to make 50% of the sales
  • I would need you to mention my name as co-author (only on the copies that I sell) and allow me to add 1 paragraph about myself in the book
Since I have created several information products myself I certainly understand if you are not interested. However, if you are interested, please let me know and we can get started asap."

This is the website of this product, currently is on clickbank:
Welcome to 72 Hours Auction

I never done any jv before...

What do you think about this?

Should I go ahead?

Or request for more info?

Please help... thanks

Get more info, then GO FOR IT if it doesn't seem like he's shady.

Get the info on his list, how he's going to promote it, etc.

    But thats a great opportunity.

Well, at first look, these are my thoughts.

When you approach a JV, you shouldn't give a list of demands - "I need to..." And I absolutely don't think it's right that they want to say they co-authored the book - they didn't! It doesn't matter if they write a paragraph, that does not constitute co-authoring.

I think the request for a discount and the commission rate being 50% are reasonable.

I am anxious to hear other's thoughts.

I would get some more information on it before just jumping in but it sounds like it could be a great opportunity. Good luck with it!

Most of it sounds great, however, I would not put their name on it as a co-author. You did the work, your name is on there.

He may only want to add his name as co-author to increase the book's credibility to his list since they should already be familiar with him. It seems like that's the case since he only wants his name on copies he sells to his list.
