Is this a good way to promote a Clickbank product?

I have outsourced the creation of adsense micro niche sites and have had succcess with them. Some I will keep and some I will flip. However, since I don't want to put all my "eggs in one basket" because of the adsense ban, I thought my next step would be to diversify and promote clickbank products.

Anyway, I came across someone who will do the following:
Research good clickbank product niche, provide 4 good keywords and 4 600 word articles and do the onpage seo. In addition for offpage seo, they will do 5,000 backlinks. 100 search engine submissions, 50 social bookmarks. They will also be providing wp plugins to collect e-mails etc. So what I think they are doing is something similar to the adsense micro niche sites that I have. My question to you is, do you think this is a good way for a beginner to start out with promoting clickbank products?

Thanks for your comments!
Deb

I'm a big proponent of learning to build it yourself, before outsourcing it. The reason for this is that you can't for sure know what it takes unless you've done it yourself.

However, you've got experience with outsourcing adsense sites with success, so if you're intuition is telling you that this seems like a good, legitimate offer then you're in a decent position to say so with some authority.

Nothing about the "package" you described seems particularly fishy to me, I'd have some questions about the 5k backlinks and how many of those will stick, how fast they'll be delivered (don't throw 5k backlinks at a domain registered a day before, lol) and how fast they'll be pinged/indexed.

To answer you question, personally I'd build my own affiliate sites and only outsource tasks I've previously outsourced with success (backlinks, design etc) and once I'd build one or two successful affiliate sites THEN I'd consider trying to teach someone I outsource how to build it for me.

It certainly sounds reasonable. Did you get any references from anyone you could talk to? That may help.

People vary a lot, and it's impossible to judge, without seeing something and especially without knowing the price and therefore being able at least to guess the value, whether it's going to be suitable for any specific individual, but my strong instinctive hunch is that it's probably, for most people, a really dreadful way to start out with promoting clickbank products, Deb.

I agree completely: it sounds very much like this. And to be realistic, I'm afraid that raises all sorts of questions about them. :p

Absolutely. This is the main point, surely?

I'm still recovering from some of the damage I did my own business by outsourcing some things far too early, before I understood them fully. This is really something to avoid. You're just not going to learn what you need to know, doing it this way.

      I say "stay away".

Well, it's a reasonable new offer so the reviews aren't in yet. It'll probably take 2-3 months before the reviews are in. I was just curious if to create a micro niche site to promote a clickbank product was effective.
    Thanks,
    Deb

The 100 search engine submission and 50 social bookmarking submission seem redundant. The list building (collecting email) is GOD! Also, you should do article marketing to promote to get targeted traffic to your ClickBank product page.

    • Research good clickbank product niche (you can easily do this yourself)
    • provide 4 good keywords (again, easy to do yourself)
    • 4 600 word articles (depends on what they're charging)
    • do the onpage seo. (ditto)
    • In addition for offpage seo, they will do 5,000 backlinks. (probably worthless)
    • 100 search engine submissions (worthless)
    • 50 social bookmarks. (worthless)
    • They will also be providing wp plugins to collect e-mails etc. (depends)
I couldn't see how much they're charging for this service. But without knowing what all this will cost it's impossible to say if it's a good deal or not.

It may well be possible and a lot cheaper to get the important stuff done individually rather than buy a package that includes things you don't need.

if someone who will do everything for you is a trustfull company/person, go for it. But it looks suspiciouse to me that someone whould do all the marketing staff for you and you will just get the resutls. check it out before you pay or do the research yourself.
Besides clickbank is a great option for a beginner to start form.

Sounds like a good plan but the number of backlinks really depends on your competition. You may rank #1 for some keywords and others you may not even make in in the first 200 results, you need to do some analysis on the keyword competition before designing a plan.

As for putting all your eggs in one basket, why not create multiple adsense accounts so that if one account does get banned your income isn't drastically cut out?

    Cheers,
    Dave

Thanks for all your replies. I didn't think to mention the price, it is $147.00 for one site. I don't mind paying for someone else to set up the product keyword search and the site, I was just wondering if the methods are correct. I had planned to do the seo, link-building, article marketing and building a list myself.

      They're really not, Deb.

As a few of us have commented above, quite a lot of what's included is either worthless or probably worthless.

It fills me with misgivings. They might select Clickbank products with enormously high gravity, vendors' opt-ins on their sales pages, or some other atrocity that would make everything else they do more or less futile, anyway. Call me a skepchick but I'm extremely mistrusting of it, from the little I've seen/heard. Sorry.

But the important argument is surely the one (also wisely offered above) that this is no way to learn much.
