Have you not made your first sale yet?

Have you made a few sales but you find that getting them consitantly is a problem?

Let me ask you this.

Why do you believe this is happening?
I mean what is stopping you from making your goals a reality?

I want to hear your frustrations and what you believe is holding you back.
I know we get a load of empty promises and loads of garbaged shoved down our throats daily about this technique and that technique.

But STOP for 1 minute, think about it and then tell us all what is the roadblock that needs to be removed for you to be a success and achieve your goals?

For me I need help to get organised and stay focussed. I make reasonable money but it is all over the place, from a $300 day to a week with nothing. I have the skills and I know what needs to be done, I just have trouble staying focussed on 1 Goal. I guess its too many ideas, not enough arms, hands, brains etc to make them the success stories I know in my heart they could be.

OK I've spilled my guts now its your turn!

What prevented me for making money for several months when I was just starting was just one thing: lack of focus.

My english wasn't good and my budget was almost inexistent, but those things were not crucial, the thing that really destroyed all of my attempts to build an online business for almost 2 years was my lack of focus.

I was always jumping from one system to another without realizing that every time I started something new I was wasting my exprience with the previous method and just starting everything over again.

Once I understood that I needed to focus on one thing, go through my learning curve and make it works for me I started making money.

I'll start off by telling you that I've only been building affiliate sites for a month. I have several sites and have pulled in a few sales. I hear that with time and some trial and error, I will start profiting from my affiliate sites. What discourages me is that I'm trying not to lose focus on my affiliate sites. I just found a great system for building good, unique sites and I want to stick with it until my goals come to fruition. Most of what I see on here and hear from friends is that I should a) make my own product and market that and; b) start fooling around with email lists and obtain a following. Obviously, this is all pretty good advice, and I have ideas to look forward to. However, is affiliate marketing a bust? Can I make real money by affiliate sites only, and if so how many? These are the questions that hold me back. Thanks for this thread.

If affiliate marketing is what gets your blood pumping and makes you get out of bed in the morning then your on the right track.

Are your mates making money? are they a success?
If not maybe you should just keeping doing what your doing. Many fortunes have been made in affiliate marketing and lets face it there are Thousands upon thousands of products to promote.

I can't give advice on focus ads that's my issue as well, But from what I learned in the last few years ii sthat people with llaser pointed focus get what they wanted.

Just spoke to an old friend on the phone who said this to me....

Justin, the fear of loss is greater than the want of gain, So do you really want to get on that opportunity for the benefits or just so you don't miss out on something? You have the tools already start using them.

Thanks for the feedback and honesty

My problem in the beginning was focus, now I think it's information overload. I decided not to listen or read anything else until I complete projects I have already started.

Well, I'm new to IM. My website has been up only about a week and I am slowly building my list, so I don't expect any sales this soon. I'm not really promoting any products yet, though I do have some affiliate products on my website. I'm concentrating more on getting traffic to my website and gaining subscribers and then I will focus my concentration on making sales.
