Made $6208.70 in 7 days (proof)

Why hello there WF gang.

I just wanted to share my largest success of this year so far.

I brought in over $6,000 in 7 days this past week using nothing but a strong AFFILIATE offer and my list. (In the IM niche.)

I WOULD give one of them fancy screeny shots of all the info, but then it would give away a little too much info.

So here is a simple screenshot of the full-income for the past 7 days. (April 5-12.)

How did I do it?

Oh, a fine question indeed!

I made a headline about working in your underwear, took a generic image of a girl on a laptop in her kitchen, and then send the Google's PPC to it. (You prob have never heard of it.)

No. Just kidding.

Here's what I really did.

BACKGROUND: I have a semi-neglected list. I typically use it to communicate specific personal offers to, such as private coaching. I never really promoted affiliate products. The list is about 2,500.

However, when I was invited to be a JV partner for a product I've used for about 2-3 years and actually LOVE and KNOW works, I decided to push it...

Here's what I did:

Step 1: I created a bonus that was relevant to the product.

Step 2: I explained the bonus, the product, and encouraged my list to buy every day until the launch was over.

Step 3: I personally addressed any and every question, and enouraged my list to interact with me regarding any questions they had.

Step 4: Profit.

I was also on the leaderboard for this promotion.

aaaannnddd...

That's it!

No big secrets here. Build a list. Love them and cuddle them. Then suggest products you know work.

Wee! Money!

Thoughts? Questions? Congratulations? Let me know!

That's awesome. I think people just getting started online hear all about building a list, but I don't think they realize the importance of it. In my business, the list is everything.

That's awesome! Do you mind if I ask how big your list is???

EDIT: I see you said your list is about 2,500.

      Anyway congratulations!

          SECONDED.

This is interesting information, as you've definitely pulled together a list of buyers!

Wow, that's fantastic. It's hard for people starting out to focus on listbuilding because they are always being distracted by the newest shiny object.

  • Damn, I gotta get to list building! I don't know why that is one of my biggest challenges. That sounds awesome. What was the price range of the item you were selling?

    Great news!

Your success depends completely on the list, so before everyone rushes off any buys a list of 10s of 1000s of emails, it doesn't mean you will get this result (believe me, I've tried!)

You need to get people to opt in to your list legitimately and the better quality the list, the higher the conversion rate.

If you build a list with customers that have bought from you previously, you can be pretty sure a LOT of them will buy again.

When buying a list you often get garbage email addresses that don't get checked or your emails are all filtered to spam.

There is money in the list, but the list should be earned! You should also communicate with your subscribers regularly.

Good Job Avery! That's a LOT of money for a weeks work!!!

Pretty Awesome. Great Job and congrats. List is the most important thing in IM and it plays a huge role over conversion rate

    Thanks for the congrats everyone.

As far as HOW I built the list (as a few of you have asked)...

It's been built in a variety of ways very slowly over the years.

There's been a little article marketing, a little video marketing, a little testimonial marketing, some PPC, some PPV, a few adswaps and some good ol' fashioned recommendations.

Since this success, I"m going to focus more heavily on building my list. Going to try to hit $10k/mo with just the list.

Did you give away an incentive to sign up, like a free ebook or something? Or was it purely people signing up to receive your emails?

With the article marketing, did you do this as an SEO strategy to rank for your keywords and bring in search engine traffic to sign up, or where you receiving direct traffic from the articles to get signups?

      Thanks

The offer has changed many times over the years. I've offered ebooks, training, simple communications...

The thing they all had in common is that they want to make money online... like you guys here at the WF.

I don't remember what I did with article marketing. It was like 4 years ago.

Congratulations on making so much with this latest launch, Avery. It's all the more impressive when you consider the fact that this list has been neglected and dormant. You must have really overdelivered with your bonus and conveyed to your list how important it is as a complement to the product.

I'm sure you took the time to explain things and communicate with them a lot in the days leading up to the launch, and as an added bonus you now have a "reawakened" list that will be responsive to your upcoming offers!

This is more or less what I did... but you make it sound more elegant.

Nice mate! Pretty responsive buyers if you ask me! 2.500 subscribers generated 7.600 bucks? What was the pricetag of the product promoted?

Thanks. There were 3 packages for the product. My commissions ranged from about $50 up to around $950 depending on the package.

Question: How and when do you see your next big BOOM coming?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[3706758].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Avery Berman
Well, I'm always planning on having big booms. The number of them that actually happen are much less.

I'm going to try to push my list building at this point and make $5k/mo at first, then $10k/mo. I'm working on residual profits.

Whoaa that's great! List building is the best way to make money consistently over a long period of time if you treat your list very well.
I wasn't doing it earlier however i have started building a list and its growing rapidly.

But that's the thing... they've been half neglected and this was my result.

I'm hoping to duplicate this every month now. Now that I've had a taste...

And how rapidly is "Growing rapidly?"
