website html recovery! assistance please!

I must have accidentally deleted half of my HTML code for my website!
when i open my website on the internet it comes up as it should, but when i open it from the desktop icon, it comes up with only the bottom half of the page :confused::confused::confused:, is it possible to recover lost HTML code ?!!!

    If it's working ok over the internet then the files on your server are fine. Just download them to your desktop and overwrite the files already there.

      I also suggest to you the same things. Just download them to your computer and marge on your actual file. Hopefully you will success for that.

    Before working with any type of codes, first make a copy of the entire directory. You may also make a sync copy on an external drive and this will avoid such issues in future. This can happen to even experienced programmers. I always keep a last working copy of my code on an external drive (NAS) and also use an online backup service to ensure even if I make a mistake, I am safe.
