Was browsing around for ClickBank products and then stumbled upon this data on the number 1 product in the Self Help niche, Magic Of Making Up | How To Get Your Ex Back | Relationship Advice | Break Up Advice

So people like to break up during November.

  Now that's really interesting! I can see why.
  
  My ex-fiance and I broke up at the end of this past Oct. In our case, all of my family knew him and he spent time with us. But things hadn't been going well and I knew it was inevitable. I didn't want to break up just before the holidays. What a rotten time to break up! But KNOWING we would have to break up (SOON), I chose to end it just before Nov. Going through the holidays (when I would have met a lot more of his family) just felt deceptive since I knew it was over.
  
  The holidays weren't easy, but I think the holidays would have been (more) miserable and it would have been a lot worse if I'd waited.

I'd be careful about extrapolating data from that graph. It actually shows when people are trying to get their ex-back not necessarily when they're spliting up.

The subtle difference is some people think of their ex around holiday times and wish to be back with them to celebrate. That graph covers the period 1st Sept to almost the end of November and is based on the United States. What happens in the U.S. at in November? Thanksgiving.

I'm no expert on the subject but I think you'll find a lot of break ups occur just after holidays and vacations when the stress of being together proves too much for the relationship.

Edit: I see Mark is searching for the research data so hopefully that will give a better idea.

  Or a clever way of covering up that one forgot to purchase a Christmas present. "No, I won't be going to your parents for Christmas... I am breaking up with you..."

How did you reach that conclusion?

All you know is that web traffic to the site peaked in November. There is nothing in that graph to suggest WHEN the people broke up.

Let's say your sales pitch in November is based on "Just Broken Up?".

Maybe most people broke up in July but they're thinking about being lonely as Christmas approaches so a nostalgia approach could be more effective.
