Craigslist Outsourcing Strategy $$$

So I heard of this strategy before and I have just recently tried using it; however, I haven't had any success with it as of yet. The strategy is as follows.

You look on Craigslist and pick a job. You then reply to them saying " hey I can do this, here's examples of my work" You then outsource the project and charge the people you're doing the project for more than what you are paying to out source it.

The problem is.....I've sent emails to about 20 different people now saying that I can take on their project, and I haven't gotten not ONE response , not even an email for christ sakes.

Am I doing something wrong...Does anyone have experience in this arena? Is there anyone making a good income with this? If so, please point me in the right direction

It would be much appreciated =)

Let me know..thanks

All I will say is be careful when you do this because if the guy you outsource the work to decides to be lazy and not do his part of the bargain, your the one who gets screwed.

What kind of work are you looking for? A huge problem with Craigslist is many of the jobs are fake, spam, or both. Depending on what kind of job you are applying for would depend on how many requests they are getting. If it is legit and in a big city they could be getting hundreds of emails. It would be important to provide a little more info then "Hey, I can do this for you!" You need to get their attention.

yes, it's just selling like anything else - and you are going to them.

Bottom line: you have to a credible site with decent copy in order to really minimize resistance - which you can easily do... or have outsourced.

(it's also better if you don't personally email them ...AND make sure you offer exactly what they're looking for.)
