Warriors - What is this device?

I'm trying to find the name of this device that i can't remember for anything.

This device was used by John Reese on what I believe was his last IM product on outsourcing. It was on one of his free videos where he was able to sketch out an idea of a site he wanted built and simply uploaded the concept to basecamp.

Does anyone know what device that was or maybe use it for themselves?

Thanks.

    I know what you mean.

It was in one of the Outsource Force pre-launch videos.

I'm pretty sure they're on YouTube if you have a look there.

    Good luck.

Well there are a few pens on the market now ....

    Reese uses the livescribe.com
    Another option is papershow.com
and Amazon also has the Z-Pen and Ipen.

About two years ago I bought a similar no-name "digital memo" device with a pad to write on and it was crap - slow, bad recognition & buggy software.

I like the Livescribe and tried it a bit, but it just felt weird. I did not buy it, because it seemed like it would just be the new toy-of-the-day and gather dust after a week.

I draw on a piece of paper, scan it and then email the PNG. For recording speech I use a small Sony USB minirecorder that has a good mike.

On the whole, I find the transcriptions from the recorder when done outside or where it is noisy, useless from Dragon Naturally Speaking. It needs a quiet environment.

Not forgetting ... the Ipads and other tablets on the market. These may be better for capture and transfer of ideas.
Another interesting type of device is the interactive whiteboards -projector-pen-screen setups that you can use for teaching & presentations.
