Is Host Gator really the best?

Hey, everyone. I am a new warrior forum member. I've been looking at hosting options, and it seems like all the programs I look at promote Host Gator as the #1 choice for Word press blogs. Why is that? Are they really the best, or do they just have the best commission for their affiliates?

I have never set up a word press blog yet, I need to asap. I just wanted to ask all you experts out there who have tried many different hosts and have real world experience to tell me your honest opinion. Thanks!

I've used 6 or 7 different hosts altogether, I suppose ... and I like and recommend HostGator (and not even as an affiliate).

I can't stand Wordpress, but even I have a few Wordpress blogs hosted there (I hardly use them, but that's another story).
