What would be the best way to do social media marketing without paying for ad space on facebook & myspace? What I guess I'm really asking is how can I get people to view/like my biz/promotion pages? thanks in advance for your response...

    Going viral is the key.

    Provide something that people wants in your niche.
    Give them the ability to promote it for you easily.

    I have setup a fanpage a year ago in gaming niche and hired a programmer to code me a script that helps me promote my fanpage easily.

    It ends up getting 30 Million post views and 100k fans without spending a dime on ads.

    Getting 'likes' through paid method is probably not a good solution but if your fanpage needs some 'likes' to get going with, there's no harm trying.

    But after having some 'likes', you have to provide value or a reason for people to stick with your fanpage and not paying for all the 'likes'.

    Paid 'likes' isn't even around when my fanpage started, in fact, it isn't name 'likes' back then.. and what you want at the end of the day is genuine traffic. When there is traffic, then only you can talk about conversion and stickiness ..

    Hi,

    Get hold of them by providing some new contents from you page, can also say who ever like will get something free like e-books, new software u have, list of networking sites etc.

    The main objective is that people should know that while they come to your page/ site they have something to get from you.

    You can also try other social networking site, e-mail marketing to promote your page. Use the page address in your signatures in E-Mails.
