Escrow service for joint venture payment?

by BillyBee 2 replies
Can anyone suggest a third-party solution or something else that will ensure trust that my joint venture partner will pay me as promised?

I was burned once before and I would like to avoid making that mistake again.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for this. Thanks!

    Hi,

You can use a customisable escrow service, such as Transpact.com.

There are many escrow scam sites out there, ready to steal you money, so always make sure an escrow site you use is Government registered by checking the appropriate Government online register direct.
Transpact.com is registered with the UK Government agencies FSA and HMRC.
Declaration - I work for Transpact.com (but that doesn't take away from it's great service).

    Hi,
Maybe I'm missing something here but I can't see how an escrow service will help you get paid from your joint venture partner? An escrow service (and there are a few good ones around) will hold funds until goods or services are released by the other party.
The bottom line is you need trust in your joint venture partner otherwise you are better not entering a JV with them.
