OK so I'm looking through the Warriors for hire section at offers to get Google page 1 position and I'm wondering if any of them can actually deliver and can they deliver for keywords that are fairly competitive. By "competitive" I mean 300 to 1000 searches daily or 10,000 to 30,000 per month.

So what I'm wondering is if anyone here has had any experience with some of the offers posted here on the forum?

  • I've been in the same boat as you before and it is very tempting. I then decided I would rather learn how to do it myself because essentially I would be learning the skill of SEO. Although I am definitely not a master at SEO yet, I have a pretty good grasp of it now and have started to even get some of my own sites ranking well in Google.

So my thoughts/opinion, is why not give it a crack yourself first? Imagine once you've learnt how to do it. That's a skill worth having for sure.

In my personal experience anyone who has EVER told me that they Guaranteed Page 1 results has failed.

I started seeing results once I learned how to rank a page myself and then used the For Hire section to find those to build the links I needed built to get the results I was looking for.

Yeah I'm working on the "learning SEO" part but I was wanting to get something up and running in a shorter time frame and also maybe use that example to further my own understanding of implementing an effective SEO campaign.

In fact I've been pursuing this nonstop for so long my eyes just sort of fog over whenever sit down to work. I need a break or just to step away from it for a while and watch someone else do it.

I found Google very difficult to rank
I have only had a couple of sites rank well (page 1) and only one site ever at no1

By learning the basics of SEO you need to understand more than Backlinks = higher rankings.

You need to understand the difference between cheap and dirty profile links (xrumer), homepage backlinks, contextual links, and finally .gov/.edu links.

Not only that but you need to understand how all of those come together to create a killer link profile. From there a person needs to understand how to format their content correctly and how to not look like a spam site.

Then on top of all that, one needs to understand that today this is how it IS and tomorrow its going to completely change. Trying to rank a site in Google is like trying to hit a moving target 365 days out of the year, and for those in really competitive niches it is a full-time gig.

Search Engine Optimization is a beast and anyone who thinks it's "easy" has probably been doing it for a really long time.

    • Ok well SEO in a nutshell is about setting up your site correctly, and then getting backlinks.
So you want to find the right keywords first of all, then get them in your url, header, description and titles. Scatter them around on the page, and then try to build quality backlinks to your site. Ok, thats sounds really simple, but it's not rocket science. It is a little more complex than the above but I think a lot of folks overthink the whole SEO thing instead of getting on with the basics.

Anyone that guarantees you page 1 or #1 position is out of their mind or wants a lot of your money. Of course if you gave me 1-2 years I could probably guarantee page 1 at least. Anyone that really knows SEO knows that it is built mostly on OPINIONS meaning we try our best to get on Google's good side but it may not work out. I would not fall for these claims. Guaranteeing a rise in SERPs is another thing in itself.
