I want to insert a piece of code on my WP posts and pages.

The code needs to be placed before the </body> tag.

As far I know there is no </body> in WP. Or, am I looking in the wrong place?
How do I get this to work?

    there is a </body> tag.

    go to:

    Appearance->Editor

    then select the "footer.php" file from the list of files on the right hand side.

    the </body> should be towards the bottom in there.

    ps unless you know what you are doing be very carefull, editing theme files can break the site layout.
