Hi,

Where do you get your pictures from when putting testimonials on your sales pages?
#pictures #testimonial
  • :confused:I would have thought from the person giving the testimonial surely?

I never use pictures for testimonials, it adds an unreal flair to it.
Unless of course you are selling a skin product of some sort, but since you are selling English classes I would recommend against it.

Final note, there is something to be said about pictures. They CAN make the prospect relate to them if they somewhat look a like.

    Edit:
But that is not the answer to your question, get them from your customers.

    just get REAL testimonials???

EDIT: if you must give away a product for free to get some real testimonials, do so.

people don't like lies, and i for one can tell fake testimonials from real ones.

It's also illegal to use false testimonials! Testimonials have got to come from users of your product or service. If you pay for testimonials this has got to be clearly stated to your customers. This could be helpful: ftc.gov/opa/2009/10/endortest.shtm Just add the dub dub dub. (Not allowed to post links at the moment)

That is funny(LoL) What ever you do don't use fake testimonial on your sales page. I have a friend who use pictures on his squeeze page. Relax, I won't send you a bill for this information. By the way, it converts like crazy!

I don't. I sometimes ask for a real testimonial from my customers along with a link to their LinkedIn, warriorforum or other profile. This is in order for potential customers to be able to confirm that my service was good by actually asking another former client.

Is picture is essential to put your testimonial? I don't think so. Fake nothing is good.

This is a funny question. Just go on Google Images and find some pictures of smiley friendly people, and use them on your fake testimonials.

I suspect that probably 95% of all testimonial pics are fake, and probably 50% of the testimonials, too. lol. Be careful which pics you use if you get them from the internet, though, because some of them are licensed and could get you sued.

with the photoshop nowdays you can design whatever testimonial you want!
I think most of them are fake , maybe video testimonials with earnings could be more reliable.....maybe.

  • The pictures need to be real, from the people who gave you the testimonials themselves. Wouldn't work any other way.

Definitely! I think it's a great way to add credibility to testimonials with all the fake ones out there now.

I love to add links e.g. on Testimonials | LogOn - because then prospective customers can click the links and see the relevant website, and actually contact the person who gave the testimonial (in a way that the testimonial-giver is in control of).

  • Facebook!

I just added pictures from Facebook to the testimonials on my sales page (linked in sig below).

Note: these are real pictures of the actual people, and I asked them for permission by email (so I have it in writing)
