How to Effectively Use a Squeeze Page In Your Marketing

Hi guys,

I am getting a pretty good rate on my squeeze page (although obviously it could be a lot better, but I'm happy with it for a baseline effort). I'm wondering how you guys deal with the issue of making sure they confirm their emails and to check their spam filters and such. I can set up a page with all this on it, but would it be better to leave this out and just go straight to my sales page?

I know the only solution is to test - which I plan on doing, am doing in fact - but thought some Warriors may offer their advice.

Kind regards,

-Dan

  • Daniel,

You could test different headlines and email body content in your response
    required confirmation email template.

You could also write a second headline within the response required email
and also consider offering a related valuable free bonus upon redirect after
the response required link has been clicked.

    Cheers,

    Rob
  • Hi Rob,

Great ideas! I didn't think of those.

I use Aweber, and I know it has a good delivery rate, but even so I worry about people never even SEEING my emails, you know?

  • I think you just need to get use to the idea that you are going to lose some people. I hated it at first too! But it is just going to happen.

Make sure you make it very clear and obvious what your reader needs to do, and it helps if you have some nice reward to give them once they confirm too.

  • i do a screenshot of the confirmation email with a big red arrow pointing to the link they need to click and put it on the first subscribethankyou page

plus I add really clear directions with it

but you'll never get people who typo their email address to click that link
