How Much Could This Be Worth?

Hey guys, at the moment im trying different areas to what id normally do within IM and im looking into flipping sites. Ive come across a keyword that gets over 130k searches a month, the domain is available for the keyword i.e [keyword].com. I know its hard to guess how much something is worth but would it be worth anything just knowing that it gets that many searches a month? Any comments appreciated thanks

      I agree with that statement, kinda hard to give insight without anything. As far as site flipping goes, there's a lot of factors involved. The domain age, Alexa rank and monthly profits will dictate how much your site will sell for. If it's highly competitive and would require a lot of SEO then you might have a hard time selling it.

      As a tip, get the Alexa rank up and offer some free backlinks and hosting as a package deal on a BIN. I sold websites 2-3 years ago that had next to nothing on it with a .com domain with dashes (-), no profit but had a high Alexa and was ready to profit and came with 30,000 backlinks which I outsourced for $30.

    • ^This. I'm betting he didn't do an exact search if the keyword is available as a .com URL
  • Do your market research exhaustively. Competition is big, PR of competitors. If the first page is predominantly PR5s and up, that's a tough cookie.

    yes you are right I would need a lot more information:


    - how many exact match searches per month? (check on Google keyword tool)
    - What niche is it in?
    - How many PPC advertisers (check on Google keyword tool) Is the green bar there and how big?
    - What is the average cost per click for that keyword? (check on Google keyword tool)
