Ping.fm and Pixel Pipe

Are there any other sites around like Ping.fm and Pixel Pipe? Also, is it possible to post links on these sites embedded within articles? They seem to strip out the HTML, so how do you post links?

Ping.fm is more micro blogging so it is hard to post an article. They are more like statuses with URLs. Pixelpipe is more for video and content sharing - not so much articles. I have not uxed hello txt though...

Yeah I am pissed with all this buzz about building massive backlinks using pixelpipe. The backlink is only back to pixelpipe not your site, it strips html out man ..

You can have either the keywords in the domain or you can actually have the HTML tags posted through to the sites via Pixelpipe, giving you anchor text for some of the sites. Pixelpipe is a powerful way to syndicate your content and some nice backlinks.

I agree. I have seen some really good results on my sites just using ping.fm and pixelpipe for backlinks - top 3 rankings on Google with just a couple of runs.

How do you know which sites in pixelpipe will allow anchor text links? Do you just post to all the sites, and not worry about the ones that don't allow them?

Most of the blog site do allow, some of the status sites as well. For some, like video sites, you can have a clickable link. The others are good for branding.

Is trial and error the only way to figure out which are which?

          Thank you for your help.

They do change the sites from time to time. But, like I said most of the blogging sites will allow you to post your anchor text and some of the status sites. If you just want anchor text, just go with those. But, you will be missing out on some link juice from other sites as well.

              What are status sites?

How do you put a link in on the sites that don't allow html?

I put up some text that had linked anchor text and an imbedded video and a photo, and all it did was put up the code for the links, the picture and the video. oops. I put this up as a "blog" on pixelpipes, and I clicked on it, in pixelpipes, after submitting, and that is what was shown.

              Any ideas?

So can you put in links back to your money site, or feeder sites?

      If yes, with html?

Status sites are like twitter, identi etc
For the ones that don't allow HTML, you can just have a link like: http;//yourdomain.com

Don't quite get what you mean for the last part.

For the last part, I mean that I put up a "blog" in the pixelpipe submission window that contained hyper linked anchor text, embedded video, and a photo.
After I clicked on submit, and looked at the blog, it showed the code, for all of those, no viewable picture or video, and the linked anchor text was html code that was viewable.

I have been creating these and trying to learn to post to them all day. Maybe it is just trial and error?

You should post via the File Upload tab in Pixelpipe. Upload your media that way and you will be able to post to more sites. Yes, some of your html code will be viewable on the sites.

OK, that is what I will keep doing, I guess I just need more experience with this.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
