What Would Happen If....

Hey all,

Just thinking about an important question, and it would probably be beneficial for you too:

What ONE thing, if done on a daily basis, would help your business the most?

If you had to choose one new "habit" for your business, what would you say?....just curious....

    Sorry guys,

I meant it as a rhetorical question....sorry for the confusion...

But I'm into SEO, product creation, consulting...just about everything!

I guess if I had to list my top 2 things that, if done every day, would bring in the most results:

1.) Taking time to meditate, relax, and chill out
2.) Building personal relationships with "important" people

Waking up. You rarely succeed in business if you are dead.

I dunno. It takes some people some time to fall down.

I check my forums and email and do something social.

I suggest build your brand, not your products brand. Also create a large Social Media following for yourself.

Something that I started doing that has proven to be helpful is writing a list. I hate it, I abhore it, I detest "to do" lists but it works.

Without some sort of plan and organization going on in my life I tend to get distracted by anything and everything and I get nothing done. Plus, I forget more than I remember so it is helpful in remembering those great ideas when they come to me.

I keep a pen and notebook beside me in bed. I kick back and write down what I want to accomplish and then break it down into steps. Some day I'll break down and do some sort of "mind mapping"... interesting stuff for me.

        bretski,

        I completely agree...

Oddly enough I get my best ideas either: while I'm sleeping, while I'm working out, or while I'm in the shower (basically any time I'm not actively thinking about Internet Marketing!)...

Also, one thing I've been doing this past 2 months is keeping a list of things that I've been putting off. Every day I spend 20 minutes working on something on that list (ex: cleaning out a closet, cleaning my car, organizing my taxes, etc.)..

I can't tell you how well this worked...amazing!

Using this system, for the first time in my life, I had my taxes done nearly a month before, well, today!

I agree with the list. It's so easy to get sidetracked during the day and I tend to stay more on track with what I need to get done if I have a 'To Do' list beside me.

So my one thing for the day would be to write my list of tasks for the day.

learn one new thing and apply what you learn. If you are consistently learning the next step that you need to take to elevate your business take a new step every day, even if it is a small one. If not you will never get where you want to be.

I would say waking up early. When I get my day started early it energizes me throughout the day. I end up having a more balanced day and getting way more stuff accomplished.

Make sure you do something that will help your business. Whether it be writing an article for a blog/article directory, contacting x number of leads, researching the competition etc. Like you're already doing, get the boring tasks out the way first.

    1)Action
    2)faith

For me, the difference came when I stopped reading and started doing.

The next problem came when I used to sit and think about all the things i had to do to achieve my goal. This would make me feel like there was a huge pile of work mounting up infront of me. So i started with one thing at a time and always tell myself that I know I will achieve my goals, even if i cant see the exact road map.

    cheers
