The Most Needed Service On The Web...

Hi all...

I am a WF newbie, and thought I'd post a question to get into the swing of things.

If there is one service or specialty you think is limited or non-existent on the net, which would add to the marketing work you do- what would it be?

I am not really doing this for myself- but more out of general curiosity. There are a few things I wish were more available and more accessible online in regards to helping with internet marketing, and curious if others hit the same specialties I am thinking of.

Looking forward to hearing from you... thanks!

Josh

Cheap, reliable, well spoken content writers.

I'm sure they are out there, but a lot of us haven't dialed in on it yet, and it's holding us back on a lot of our sites.

What would you consider a CHEAP content writer?

      Just wondering.

There are a lot of people writing articles for $1 or so per 100 words, and I've seen less than that as well. But most of it is from non-native speakers and even though the content isn't bad (they did their research) you can tell it isn't conversational English.

I'm sure there are some among that group that are more capable writers, but they need to be identified.

Of course, if you want to get into $8-15/article, you can have more options.

I haven't tried fiverr yet, but I think that has the best potential for well written articles that are still $5. Most of those people appear to be native speakers.

My next outsourcing project is going to be to find a few of them that I can get on skype with whenever I need something written up. It's usually not a full time job for them, so they can afford to be cheaper.

I agree with the content writers, there is probably less than 1% of the quality ones that can write 100% unique, interesting, well researched and gramatically correct content.

Content writing is not as easy as it sounds. Many claim to be good writers but often times you have to re-write it. But social media.. that is something else.

How about text message advertising? There's a good start on people doing it, but it's one of the largest growing marketing/advertising methods, both growth and profit!

Ok, but what about people who don't yet have unlimited texting? Customers, I mean, that would seem like a great way to peeve them off.

If you are (or can remember being) a newbie, what would have been the value to you of a service that would: Get a domain name for you; get a hosting account for you; transfer the DNS to the hosting company; download WP for you; and perhaps, upload and unpack the product(s) that you bought and expected would instantly give you a site... but instead just sat (still sits?) on your hard drive because you didn't know how to do the basics?

There seems to be a dearth of this type of service out there. I remember a time when doing all that was a little daunting to me, and all newbies pretty much go through this phase. I have students and clients who flip out when they find that they need to do all this, and many end up doing nothing.

I think there'd be a need for a reasonably priced service that did all the things you've listed above. I know that many MLM and other MMO type "turnkey" programs on the internet try to eliminate these roadblocks with "done for you" type solutions, but I don't know of many services that help you do this with PLR/MRR type material that you purchase on your own.

Why should a "service" be needed for this? If you have decent copy, spend some time networking, and have a good product this is not an issue.

Fake likes will do nothing for you.

It is hard to find "reliable and well spoken" writers, when you combine the word "cheap" with it. There are plenty of quality writers willing to write unique content, but they are usually not cheap (or as cheap as you would like!) With all the cheap content writers out there today, it is quite challenging to maintain a steady and realistic income as a freelance writer. We have to make a living too!

Not to beat a dead horse on this, but it is one of my sore spots (and I am mostly a pretty easy going and nice person), so I have to comment.

Essentially you get what you pay for!! Quality writers are going to cost you a little more. Sure, I would love to have a car that is really high quality, reliable, performs well, has a good reputation and is cheap too, but it simple does not work that way in almost any industry or service. Unless you are a conglomerate like Amazon or Walmart.

Most freelance writers are not rich, but they take pride in thier work as professionals. They are trying to make a living too. Sometimes, they even have to lower thier prices to compete, but there is a line that needs to be drawn. It is insulting to be paid $5.00 for a 500 word article that is "high quality, well researched, and original content." But, with all the low-quality, CHEAP crap out there, how can they compete?

It is one of the reasons many shy away from the Internet marketing world to find "real" jobs elsewhere.

I am sure I speak for many writers out there. I'm off my soapbox for now. Good luck!

Either that or they realize they could make more money writing content for themselves. Good, cheap and reliable just doesn't go together well. You may find someone good and cheap, but reliability goes out the window once the person realizes that writing well researched 400-500 word articles for $5 a pop isn't a financially viable long term strategy for them. They're eventually going to move on to something that's a better use of their time.

I think the only place you're going to find cheap article writers that are also reliable is if you target people in places where the cost of living is lower than in the US, Canada, Australia, etc. because they can afford to work for lower rates since the cost of living where they live is lower. But then you have to accept the fact that a lot of them aren't going to have perfect fluency in English.

If I want quality articles written, I consider $10 per article a bargain. If I am just looking for churn-em-out stuff, I sit down and write 25 or 30 myself.

If I REALLY want something of quality that says exactly what I want it to say, I write it myself.

The low-ball cheap articles I have tried have needed as much work as spun PLR, so it has not saved a lot of time.

Face it, if you want traffic with real eyeballs to keep coming to your site, you will have to provide a reason for them to come back. That means good content.

It's true, finding quality content writers is tough. In most instances you're going to have to choose between cheap or quality. The best advice I can give is to use Fiverr. Sometimes you can get lucky and find someone who is just starting out and trying to prove themselves. Backlinking and traffic are also huge sources of pain for many. One of my mentors recently bought a backlinking package and had his site ranking drop almost immediately.

    Julie.....make room on your soapbox!

You are absolutely right.....'cheap' and 'quality' do not go together when it comes to content.

For those who prefer to go for 'cheap'.....I'll give you a little tip (for free)....most of the marketers raking in the big bucks have always recognized the benefit of paying for 'quality' content. Yes....even when they were starting out.

Okay Julie...soapbox is all yours (for now)!

Thanks!! Yes, I just wrote an article today for a client about how important content marketing is becoming for businesses! Ironic.

The thing is people that want the $5 articles are most likely just looking for content for their niche sites, keywords, hoping for SE traffic, etc. The quality is not really important to them.

Targeting clients that look at their site as a real business are willing to pay more. Since Google is starting to take away SERP love for junk, there could be a shift! Hopefully writers can actually be looked at as professionals.

OK THEN...Great responses....the rage these days is FB. True indeed. I am "new" to this forum, I am not new however to IM...with that said...your question is intriguing. I personally own 3 profitabler offline companies, 2 websites, 1 is PR3, wih 4,000 views per day. But I use FB to make some extra cash every now and then and to build my emails list....to build my email list....write that down. You asked: If there is one service or specialty you think is limited or non-existent on the net, which would add to the marketing work you do- what would it be?

    My answer: Realism!!

The web is inundated with stupidity, seriously google anything...chances are its some spam crap...some loser selling someone elses product cuz they can't make their own product or money and hope they can sucker you in....losers. 'NUFF SAID

I recently held a seminar in my area about IM and I told folks flat out: If you want to succeed online you need focus! There's a niche....focus....

My friend, the web needs realism. I can "really" show you how to make 100,000 grand a yr with online tools, but .... dammit ... there's work invloved. I also won't simply show you. It took me 5 yrs to get to where I am, I won't insult you by offering a 27 dollar ebook...think, an ebook for 27 bucks is gonna make you rich??? WAKE UP!!! Info ebooks that cost less than $1,000 chances are.....useless....seriously, would I sell you a 100,000 grand a yr biz for less than 30 bucks? DUH!!!

Get a topic that is realistic in your area ... tap into it ... go for broke ... there is money to made in them there hills ... believe me ...

Login to your Facebook account and create a fan page.
Login to Freelancer and post a project for someone to “add fans” to your Facebook fan page (will cost a few bucks) make sure they are legit fans.
Can't afford to buy some help? Go to twiends dot com its easy to learn and no one uses it....I dunno why, its a friggin goldmine.
Inform your new found friends of what you are offering.
    Make it real!!!!
    This is key.
Can you teach them something offline related?
    Can you help them?
    Think outside of the box!!
The web has too much garbage....be a pioneer, be creative....thus you will be successful
    Good Luck

I have different opinions which are more close to the reality, I wish that the seo softwares like for link exchange, software for tracking your ranks, software to get the backlinks of the competitors with details and the software for bookmarking are available for free on the internet I have worked in several companies which given me a chance to use these softwares. They are so time saving that they can do the work in seconds for which we usually spend hours and also they help you a lot in research by providing the useful stats.
