is adsense this inconsistent?

some days i'd get $5, some days i'd get none at all. i know $5 doesn't seem like much, but my site gets less than 150 visitors per day, so i'm not so concerned about that.

what bothers me is that my adsense earnings are inconsistent. it would be good to have $5 dollars everyday from my website - if i know how to do it on one site, it's easy to duplicate the system on ten other sites.

so what are you guys doing to earn consistently from adsense?

Really depends on a number of factors:

    1. Is your site ranking consistently? If your site is doing the Google dance or fluctuates in the SERPs, you'll have varying Adsense income.

    2. Depends on the niche - niches that are geared towards more buyer intent-type keywords will generally get higher clicks.

    3. Adsense isn't always consistent. If your traffic is social traffic, it will be hit or miss...pretty much always. As I said earlier, more targeted keywords with targeted Adsense ads will yield better results.

Adsense can be a tough nut to crack. Earnings will be pretty inconsistent with that low of traffic, it's just the way it works. Monitor your earnings over the course of a month, and compare those earnings over the course of the next month. Going day by day will only make you frustrated.

Throughout the last 3 days my adsense revenue has been very very bad, almost none at all.

I'm starting to move away from Adsense on most of my niche sites for this very reason. Some days I really bank it and other days not so much. Sites aren't dancing either and are receiving consistent traffic.

But when I started to replace the adsense with affiliate products (with amazon, CJ, SaS) I started seeing consistent revenue each and every day.

I finally deduced it to there being two types of users online. Ones that know what Adsense looks like and they ignore it like the plague and others who are less experienced with the web and click a link advertising something they want to find.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

    • Adsense has been very inconsistent for some time now when you look at your income on a daily basis, but when you look at it on a weekly or monthly basis it's VERY consistent.

So consistent that sometimes I swear Google is throttling your earnings some how and rating your account. Don't believe that is what's really happening but it's spooky.

      Last week for instance my main Adsense account went like this (rounded up to the dollar;

      Mon - $320
      Tue - $212
      Wed - $401
      Thu - $278
      Fri - $361
      Sat - $190
      Sun - $175

Very inconsistent on a daily basis when compared to last years spread sheet this time of the year. In November of 2010 it seems that's when we started getting daily swings up and down.

In the end though, Adsense does not require as much work as dealing with advertisers and chasing merchants around for your commissions. With Adsense you can have all your earnings direct deposited via EFT, and they are rarely late with their payments.

When you want to go on holidays for a month or more, you don't have to be home to collect all your merchant checks in the mail box and deposit them. No big deal to handle that either really I suppose, but Adsense is very handy this way.

I say Adsense is worth sticking it out with for sure.

You can't measure Adsense earnings on a daily basis with low visitor count, it just doesn't make any sense.

Yes Adsense earning are often quoted as $$ per day but that's an average over a month.

I doubt there is any income stream from Advertising that is consistant on a daily basis.

Are you consitsant on daily basis? do you and everyone else do the same thing every day? Of course not. Seasons, weekdays, weekends, holidays, end of month, the weather, the economy, the booze they had last night, all control how people come to your site and how they act when they get there.

Measure on a monthly (minimum) basis for more accurate results or even by visitor numbers i.e per 10000 visitors

The main thing affects most users is the traffic and the google placement,Because of consistent updates sites moving front and back hard to earn consistently.
My advice is concentrate on unique posts traffic will come automatically,Adsense earning too..

i have average 270-300 vistors each day and some days I make $30 and some days I make $13. I think you need more vistors to be able to judge better.
