Take heart, we've all made mistakes.

I'm not sure how you gain your privileges back, but it would be best to contact the "help desk" to find out what you can do.

      Stacy,

I believe I'm the one who turned it off. I first changed it to say "No affiliate links in sig files." You changed that back to the affiliate site that had been removed.

That doesn't inspire me with confidence regarding your future use of the space.

Actually I thought is was a technical glitch and that it was not saved. That is why I re-entered it. Now that I know the rule I will not do it again....promise. Could you be so kind to add it back?

(I have seen a lot of links like that, so I did not think I was doing anything wrong.....but I will not do it again).

          Stacy,

It was changed to something that was clearly not the default.

As far as seeing other links like that, sure. And as soon as they're pointed out to us, they get changed. Or turned off.

Ask me again in a month.

              Stacy,

When you do, point me back to this thread. The civil response pretty much guarantees a yes. I appreciate that.

You'd be amazed at how many people fly off into a rage over this stuff, and end up creating big problems where there should have been only a minor inconvenience.

It's unfortunate if you have made a genuine mistake but the moderators have to deal with plenty of spammers and must therefore be quite firm about things. I have moderated forums before and to be honest it is not always easy.

Perhaps if you contribute positively for a month or two they will be more accommodating.

If your sole purpose to be here is just so you can have a sig file/link, then the conversation is already over.

If you really like the forum and want to participate and truly made an error, then here is a suggestion:

    Read: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ing-forum.html

    and then: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...sig-files.html

Then add some valuable insight to the forum for a week or so (or longer) and show that you are here to contribute and not promote.

Then after some time, ask nicely the Mod and/or the help desk.

Mr. Myers has the final say, but the above suggestion would go a long way.

      Greg,

Generally good advice, except for this part...
      Mr. Myers
      Paul. Not "Mr Myers."
