How would you start from scratch with 10k?

Hello everyone..

I dabbled in trying to make money online and got burned out, like many people. I've written lots of articles, made crappy Adsense websites, and over 2 years have racked up about 100 bucks in Google money.

In other words, not worth the time and effort.

That being said, I've got a pretty good job and have saved about 10k. So my question to you is this:

What would you do with 10k if you were starting from scratch?

Like everyone else, I'd like to stop working for the rest of my life and just collect a few grand every month. What would you do?

hmmmm I would not think of spending 10k that you earn with your hard work, I would just re-invest from earnings that I already got from affiliate marketing,, I have 1.5 months up, and have made only one sale, but it was a big one, so it seems that I must be doing something well..... anyway... use that money to buy a car or sum, do not spend it here, just put a little more effort to any website that you have with proven methods, this is my opinion I hope you make the right decision

If you've spent some of your life working, you don't deserve to have to spend the rest of it putting up review blogs of affiliate products or google PPC arbitrage sites.
Instead, you spend a little bit of time generating leads and building a team while letting your team duplicate and essentially grow your income for you.
Simultaneously, attend networking events and team up with fellow network marketers (very easy to do, the network marketing crowd is like 30 times friendlier than the affilate marketing folks). You'll have an empire in no time. And even if, worse case scenario, your company eventually closes, you still have your database of leads which you can simply move into a new company.
I do give you credit for trying to set up Google adsense sites. Something I would never invest more than five minutes doing lol.
Network marketing is great, but you have to find a leader and copy him/her. Still most of network marketers end up chasing people 8 hours a day, jumping from business to business and spending more than they earn because the regular cost of autoship is $100 or more.
Affiliate marketing has more possibilities, just check out WSO section of this forum to find some idea. There is no need to spend 10K, you can even do an interview with some successful affiliate marketer, sell it with your own affiliate program and leverage other people efforts.
      Wish you good luck!

I would do a little research and find something that interests you, learn how to do it, and go for it. There is a lot of information here for free and there are a lot of great products to teach you what you want to know. There are so many great ways to make money, decide what you want to do and go for it!

The money won't really help in my opinion... it won't give you copywriting skills or any other skills that are required. The ability to generate income from the internet is a culmination of a lot of different skills...

I'm not trying to be dick... so to try and answer your exact question...

Well first of all I would only allow yourself $1,000 to spend on IM until you've made the $1,000 back. Save the rest of that for sure. I sure as hell wouldn't try PPC or PPV if I were you either.

Here's what I would do... purchase a course that is well-reviewed here in the WF, and then follow it to the letter and don't read any other IM info until it's working.

Bring the Fresh is good one. There are a lot that are good and that will work- most people just don't stick to one plan long enough.

Considering all of the above, I personally would handle it the following way:
    1. Don't quit my job until, I can match my monthly salary at least during
    4 to 6 months.
This way you'll be saving two ways. Your full salary plus the equal monthly amount saved from your job.
    1. Don't purchase any new "Shinning Object" that come around you.
    2. Find out what is it that you love to do. Once you did it go to #3.
    3. Go through all Warrior sections and study about what you love doing.
At the same time start reading every post regarding your theme and ask question when you don't know the answer. If you do know, that will be a sign you're progressing. You've to keep Focus and not paying attention to anything else but your theme. Ignore everything else no matter what.
    4. When starting to realize that there's more of what you know than what you don't, well, getting to the point to make a decision:
    5. Going alone implementing everything learned, or
    6. Find a Mentor to to help out to do the "Jump".
I wish you the very best.

Invest about $1000 of the money in a creating a great info product, minisite with sales page and graphics to go with that. Use some of the other money for starting a targeted list. Buy solo ads to get your list up to 1000 subscribers and use JV's and adswaps from there. Then start promoting your product to your list and via other ways.

I would only spend 1k$ on affiliate marketing.

1 - I'd get my hands on a good Amazon guide or sign up to a coaching program (100$).
2 - Have a good writer write 50 product reviews for me (after product research) (250$-300-).
3 - I create 10 websites with those product reviews. 5 per site. (90$ in domains)
4 - SEO the website by outsoroucing the entier linkbuilding (500$).
5 - Add more websites as the profits grow and flip the websites that don't bring in much money.

I will not invest my entire savings on any business activity. I would take about 10% of it, that is about1K in your case and invest it.
With that 1K, I would develop one or more related products and start promoting them. You can use the money to outsource product creation and/or depending on the money remaining, spend it on promoting the product.

I agree that there is no reason to invest 10K initially. In the beginning there will be some lean times so it's good to have a cushion to support you.

I would start with only $1000. I would pursue affiliate marketing Clickbank and a few CPA offers to get your feet wet and learn the ropes of IM.

Once you became comfortable with listbuilding and traffic generation you could introduce your own product. Plus with the money you made from affiliate marketing you may decide to stay with it.

My 2 and a half cents.
