How Much Do You Spend on IM Tools/Outsourcing, etc...

Hey Warriors,

I was looking through all transactions in my paypal account and was shocked to discover that I had spent around $1148.50 in IM tools in a four month period.

How much do you guys spend in IM tools per month?

Also, a friendly advice!! Always comb through your paypal account to take a good hard look at all your expenditure and later ask yourself...is this even worth it? How much am I earning?? Chances are most of them are not worth the money...only a couple will.

    I own Xrumer $600, AMR $100, Scrapebox $100, ABC Plugin $37, Proxies $60, SEScout $50

I own Bookmarking Demon $130 and Blog Comment Demon and don't use them. Don't bother with ArticleRanks, BuildMyRank, Unique Article Wizard etc because there are better places to get more links for less. These are all two slow at making backlinks.

Then I have my contractors complete other tasks, but these tools are probably all you need. Personally, I wouldn't drink the SENUKEX Kool-Aid. It is so slow at creating backlinks. I also found BruteForceSEO was awful. Magic Submitter was pretty much like SENUKE and wasn't worth the time to set up.

Keep in mind, I am also backlinking 500 URLs and create more than 15,000 backlinks per day that are non-profile links.

Sounds interesting!! Any results from the massive backlink assault?? I have heard mixed result from doing this...

Currently the two active tools that I am using are BMR and ArticleRanks, following Dan's recommendation!! Agree with you that it is too slow in creating backlinks. I wasn't too excited with BMR to be honest. It got my site to page 1...for two weeks or so...then, it disappeared completely from the SERP!! I am starting to think that the time wasted in creating unique content for BMR posts is probably not worth it!! Correct me if I am wrong.

I am in the same ballpark with you maybe even a little bit more. My first month of IM I bought a course for $3000. Ouch!!! I was so naive then. I hope someday I will be making that money back.

It is so tempting to buy IM tools and WSO and all the new shiny things when you are just starting out . I am trying to stop buying so many things and trying to focus on what I am doing today to make money online. Everything seems to be so necessary when it really is not.

You really have to discipline yourself, actually, I really have to discipline myself from buying stuff online. I don't even use half or a fourth of what I bought. It is really pathetic.

Ouch is right. You could have just spent the $37 on the WARoom memebership, and probably learned a lot more. join the WAROOM, it's priceless!

      Best of luck,

Maybe I only spent $300. Actually, I am not fun of using software. I built all my links manually.

This is a great post, what software/programs that you bought actually were worth the money and work?

I prefer to do most things manually, so I don't spend much on tools at all.

However much I need to spend in order to move my business forward.

Yes, you can go over the top, but be smart about it. Before you buy anything, make sure you have a PLAN for that tool and that it will HELP you make more money, save you time or another benefit, not just because it's on sale.

    All success,

Well, I don't think how much you spend on tools is the question. But how much you spend on marketing.

Example: If you go back and look at your paypal receipts and the total is $100 plus on the tools but you don't have a list, that is not very smart. For $200 you could run a solo ad and have some subscribers so you can promote your products

Yea but im not just talking about link building, im asking what are some great tools/software/programs/ebooks people have bought that are worth the money, and work great. For example, I use camtasia to record videos and it is worth the $200!

over the course of my Internet marketing career I have probably spent somewhere between 40,000 and $50,000 on tools and educational materials. However, I have been fortunate enough to leverage the tools and education I purchased into a very successful business.

iMacros Scripting Edition and uBot have been two tools that have definitely been worth the money on my end. With just these two tools, you can eliminate the need for the majority of tools that are on the market. Something to consider.

All you need is Xrumer and a bunch of facebook friends..

    Internet marketing tools are over-hyped

Write one article a day for your website and distribute.

    Cheerio...
