It is jerky when you are looking at the video in Camtasia or after you have exported the video from Camtasia? ie: is the video recording with jerks in it or are the jerks happening when you export the video?

      Hi Will

I think it is the mouse that is problem , as I look at the rec of the test page it seems to jerk every 2 sec and i would say that would be the from the mouse scroll button

Don't suppose you would have any answers to this one for me

Mouse scroll buttons do move in jerks and not a constant flow. Why can't use just use the sidebar to move the page down in a nice steady and controlled manner?

If you use Firefox you may also want to check out this addon that lets you autoscroll webpages for you:

    There are several options:
    1. Change the scroll speed. It's measured in lines. As far as I remember Chrome you can edit this parameter in chrome.
    2. Use arrow keys instead.
    3. Use different software.
    4. Increase frame per second rate of the recording.

      1. Not sure about this.
      2. Arrow key still gives a jerky movement unless you hold it down and then it moves too fast.
      3. It doesn't sound like the software is the problem.

    Well, I tried this again.
Chrome, Opera and Firefox behave in different ways.

I think the jerkiness depends on the PC's capabilities (I use netbook, so it sucks) and on browser itself.

If you use the scroll button (press the scroll wheel down), then you can control the speed of scrolling. If you make is sufficiently low, the jerkiness tends to almost disappear.
Also, when doing that close all other programs.

    Hope this helps.
