Me too I made a sale!

I managed to make 35 dollars through Clickbank through facebook advertising. On one sale....but wait....

But lost much more - should I continue to press the product that made me the 35 dollars, what's a sensible strategy.

Facebook doesn't seem like the best option - I've lost 130 dollars...Is that a fair hit?

What should I do next?

This depends on a few things, you may have more sales to come, has this been running long? Etc etc.

However, commonsense tells me and it should tell you, that if you have to spend $130 to make $35, it's not going to make you much money.

On a positive note, well done for making a sale.

    Thanks R...

Sorry the spend was across about 9 products - so I actually made about 2 dollars on that product...

It was responsive, but I wish there were better products in that market, the best affiliate programs in that genre you have to apply for, and there not that happy about letting someone advertise without a site simply on a PPC basis, without a relevant subject blog...if you follow...

I got one sale based on 180 clicks...

Well, $2 up, no matter how you look at it, is profit - So well done, 1 sale in 180 clicks isn't so bad either.

I've had worse than that, though by testing different variations of your advert, you could certainly work on improving that ratio.

Please note, I've not really tested FB advertising so I'm no expert on this.

Depending, naturally, how much you have to spend and test, assuming you don't have a great deal to throw at this, I'd ditch the other 8 products and hit the one that's converted. In all honesty though, if it were me, I'd throw a bit more at the others too, to see where they convert but I would want to be split testing different ads.

To be honest, with a limited budget (forgive me if you have a ton of cash to chuck at this, I'm making assumptions ) I'd focus on that one product for now and see what profit you get spending that $130, only on that product that converted. I'd then, assuming I'm in profit, ramp that one up and then look at expanding into other products then.

I'd say the emphasis here is on focusing your attention to promoting one project and don't spread yourself too thin.

Was it one advertisement pointing to 9 products? What if you ran an ad pointing to the one product you actually sold?

I think he means he had 9 ads pointing to 9 seperate products and one of them converted.

So put up a relevant subject blog. WP is free, after all.

I do not spend more than what I earn. In internet marketing things can become more of a gambling if you keep on spending. Keep a budget and never overspend. If you are overspending, then you are doing something wrong. Change your strategy. There are several ways and do not get stuck with one. If facebook is not working, go out any try article marketing, setup free blogs, videos, etc……

In most paid adverting options like PPC , Facebook , PPC , etc, it is a norm that first you need to lose money until you figure out how things really work .

The sweat things come once you crack the code.

BTW, for me facebook worked more with CPA offers. so , test it with CPA offers .
