My Plan for 20k per month in2009 - What do you think?

I've been considering implementing this, but would like to get some feedback from fellow warriors. I posted this on my site but didn't get any response - good or bad.

My plan is outlined here:

What I'm talking about here is giving a seminar on Internet Marketing.

Have you ever tried to explain what you do for a living to someone not in IM? Do you think you could take what you already know and make it into an introductory course? Yes, you could. Could you explain how to do niche research? How to buy a domain name and hosting account? Install Wordpress? Setup affiliate accounts with clickbank, shareasale, commission junction, etc? What about adsense/adwords? RSS Feeds? How about using PLR/MRR products? Starting to get the idea?

The point is, you know more than you think, and people will pay to learn what you know.

How do you do it? And how to make 20K per month?

Start with this: organize what you know into simple step by step instructions. Get an outline of how you would teach what you know during the course of a Friday evening (say 2.5 hours), then what you'd cover Saturday (say 5 hours at most), then Sunday morning, another 2.5 hours. Trust me, when you start thinking about what you know, and how to cover it, you'll have more than enough.

Now you have your basic course outline, you'll need to convert this into a PDF document as well as a PowerPoint presentation.

Next, head over to the warrior forum and start a new thread asking other members to take a look at your course and offer suggestions and testimonials. You'll use the testimonials to sell seats. More on that in a second.

While at the WF, see if there are other IMers in your area. If so, contact them about being a guest speaker at your seminar. Offer them the ability to sell their product on the back end, after your seminar is over.

Now your course guide should be pretty well ready to go. You'll need to find somewhere to host this seminar. Start locally, you won't need a huge venue right now. Figure on no more than 100 seats.

Next, you need to advertise your seminar. Position your product so that it offers help to people who have been laid off, want to quit their day jobs, or want a second income. The best places to advertise something like this would be craigslist, your local paper, or local radio. Call the local talk radio station and see if they are looking for a guest, then go on the air and explain what you'll be covering in the seminar as well as the possibilities.

OK, so how much do you charge for all this?

50 bucks.

Yep, 50 bucks per day. Lets do some math. Remember when I said 100 seats? Let's assume you only fill it half full. Thats 50 seats at 50 bucks per seat. So 50 x 50 = 2,500 per day. 2,500 per day for 3 days = 7,500 per week. 7,500 per week for one month is 30,000 per month.

But wait, there's more...

Let's say you get really ambitious and set up a membership website. For enrolling in your seminar, you give them one month free. Then every month after that, you have a recurring billing of 17 per month per member. If you're doing this, you'll have to add fresh content often (just add any new tips, tricks, or methods you learn along the way). Remember to always offer high quality content and you'll be good to go.

Still not done...

Remember the PDF you did as a course guide to the seminars? Set up a WSO and offer this for 27. Then have a site set up for non warriors and sell the PDF for 47, plus the 17 monthly.

And finally...

You'll also be building a list of paying customers who already know who you are, what you're about, and trust what you have to say. Think you could market to them for a while?

That's it in a nutshell, the biggest obstacle right now for me is product creation, since I've never done it.

By the way, this was inspired by Steph and her 10k in 7 days campaign. I figured it was time to get busy.
