Complete Newb on WP and Clickbank

Hi all,

i am really excited as i am starting my journey into this completely new world full of unbeknownst words and concepts. These last two weeks i read in this forum every free minute i could free up and started to get really (!) overwhelmed by all these seemingly brilliant opportunities - not knowing where to start at all.

Let me just say that i have quite a lot familial obligations and only very limited free time. But, enough about me.

Trying to get some first successes i figured that it would be wise to start my first own free blog and do some reviews on products that i know already through my offline work.

I want to market them via CLickbank because it seems that this is a reliable company, right?!

Someone said that he usually uses his test CB account for his new sites, to see what sales are being generated. Additionally he divulged that he uses some sort of auto tracking ID to that ends!?

Can anyone explain, please? I am completely lost on this and concerned that i might do some grave mistakes right at the start.

Should i simply open my CB acc with my real data and skip the testing. Or does he mean something different with his test account?

Is it possible/advisable to hold/aquire multiple CB accounts for test purposes or to disinguish between different blogs/ventures?

And what does auto tracking ID mean?

Thanks so much!

Peace

Maybe I misunderstood what you wrote... but:
    - you, as a vendor, can sell only YOUR products on CB
    - remember, CB is the marketplace for digital products, not physical products!

Every question starting with "someone said somewhere..." is not worth answering, sorry.

I see, so i should write for ex. an ebook on the theme and sell it via CB.
      Thanks for clarification.

As for the auto track ID i hope someone else might know what that is...

      Thanks again!

I don't understand the purpose of a "test" CB account.

I think what he meant was that he uses a Clickbank product to test the market before he creates his own product.
And, as for the tracking ID, when you list a product on CB you can create a tracking ID when you get your product purchase link.

The only reason you need more than 1 CB account is if you have more than 30 (I think. ) domains listed on CB.

    Hope this helps.

I've never really used wordpress before so you're already a step ahead of me.

I do know that ClickBank has something where if you give a CB product on Facebook thumbs up and someone on your friends list ends up buying it, you'll get commission.

CB does require that several sales are done on different credit cards before you get paid.
