Looking for a legitimate way to advertise via email.

Are there any real companies out there that do email blasting with opt in lists?

The thing that screams 'no there isn't' to me is the simple fact that no one would opt in to get spam email, haha...

I'm looking for a way to target a lot of people with my product in a short amount of time..(isn't everybody..)

Any ideas?

    It's not spam if they opt in

    Of course you'll need to get an autoresponder...

    There are right and wrong ways to do email marketing just be honest and share cool stuff with your list that you personally like or you learned.

    Give out helpful information or identify issues that your product solves.

    Also keep promoting your product, some people take several emails just to get them to notice your product.

      I don't have a list, I would need to purchase lists from a third party.

      And I have no idea how to actually build a list of any real size on my own.

    We are a commercial printer, kind of ironic I know..

    We are looking to target restaurants, advertising agencies, print buyers ect.. Anyone who buys print in any form..

    I'm basically looking for someone or some company to help me get my product in front of these people, doesn't really have to be email, but I really have no idea on where to get started..

    Do you have a website to get people to opt in from? That would be the first step and then set up your auto responder. You offer a legit service so why would it be considered spam, especially if they opt in. Run your monthly special with a coupon or code for ___% off when they enter their email you will send them the code. Follow that up with other offers and promotions as much as you want. Give them good tips and info instead of just soliciting with every email and if it is useful they will look forward to hearing from you more.

      jbode and NateC are right on the money...

      You do want to set up an email opt-in from and start collecting emails to build your email list...This may take a bit of time, though to set up...

      To get started right now:

      Google "list broker" (or use your favorite search engine), you can rent a very specific email list to target the kind of clients who you are trying to reach.

      You may want to run a test first, with a small segment of the list to see if your sales copy works.

      Also I recommentd you check out SRDS

      You will fiind lists of every size and description...email lists, mailing lists, media resources and more! The SRDS manual is huge!!!

      almost every library has a copy of the SRDS and you will certainly be able to find a list that you can target.

      Remember: test a portion of the list before you email to the entire list. You want to make sure you will get a response...with good copy that will sell.

        Check out infousa.com They can provide leads targeting any consumer demographic or business, and also provide bulk email from their servers as well as direct mailing. I had used them myself for many years. Highly recommended.

      The best thing you could do is to pay for a solo ad. There are a few websites out there that lets you connect with people which have opt-in lists in a wide variety of niches. Note that this is not free but if you have the money i recommend you to go for this.

      I have personally seen a person that paid close to $900 for a solo ad campaign. In his ad he promotes a cb product. 3 days after the ad he banked close to $6k + in sales . So the $900 was a good spent
