Do I need new hosting for prosper202?

I have launched one test campaign with 7search. Spy view in prosper shows 6 clicks when 7search has 17. And every click goes through spy view so I'm losing almost 2/3 of the visitors. Anyone know how to fix this?

Could this be related to my HostGator hosting?

I already tried to use the tracking202 forums, but no one is responding there..

    Hey Mathias

    There will always be some     discrepancies in your stats from the traffic source and Prosper202. However, you should make sure your tracking setup is done the correct way. Are you using landing pages or direct linking?

    Another thing you can check is that all the fields in Spy View is "blank" i.e nothing is selected for "    PPC Network/Account" and the others. Also is it set to Show All Clicks or Show Real Clicks?

    It's also just as possible that 7search is lying about the traffic data in hopes you will pay them more money. It's pretty common for all kinds of click fraud in smaller engines.

    Just some food for thought.

      Great site Stian!

      I use advanced LP's and the spy view is set to blank.

      I've included the 202script above the </body> tag on my page, so every click should be registered?

      I tried with another test campaign on tracking202, not prosper.

      The campaign had 4 clicks before I linked it to tracking202(I paused it for several hours in case there were any delays at 7search). When I stopped it it had 102 clicks, so 98 clicks total.

      Tracking202 only shows 88 unique visitors(94 in 'view all')

      Is this to be expected or is something still wrong here?

      I set up the campaign like i did in prosper, so maybe to use prosper(not tracking202) I need to change my hosting to something else than Hostgator?

      I've seen many here recommend Hawk Host? What package should I choose to get this tracking thing completely sorted out? Is the $5.95/month plan good enough?

        Yep, that is correct.

        I have an always will use Prosper202 not Tracking202. I like to to host stuff myself, so I am in complete control. Depends on how many clicks (visits) you are doing per day. But a faster server is always better. I would say if you run less than 5000 visits per day, a shared hosting account would do the job.

        And yes.. there will always be discrepancies with the hits that's sent and what's tracked. I personally have never seen 100% but that's just the way it is. I have to add, I don't have experience with 7Search tho!

              Switched to Hawk Host shared and did another test campaign:

              Prosper202: 151 'all clicks' (2-3 of these are probably me) / 143 real clicks

              7Search: 150 clicks

              Do I pay for duplicate clicks with 7Search?

              The stats seems to be pretty accurate now right?


              Something weird happened with the prosper202 stats though. Not all the clicks are showing in the PPC referers, even though they are assigned to 7Search in spy view. Anyone seen this before?

              151 clicks total
              2 7Search
              92 no referrer

              Where's the missing 57 clicks?
