Product choice

Hey Warriors,

I’ve been thinking about writing my first ebook - something between 120 and 160 pages, which would cost between $30 and $50.

Then I started thinking about creating audio programs instead, each with about 1/3 the content of an ebook and selling at about 1/2 the price of an ebook.

An audio program would be more affordable for a potential buyer, focused on very specific problem and easier to produce for me. And I could create a whole series within one year or so.

So what do you think? Should I go for an ebook or for shorter audio programs?

    It's going to depend on the niche (and perhaps on many other things), Eduard.

    I know a lot of people who'll buy e-books but not audios. For a big range of different reasons (some obvious and predictable; others much less so).

      Create the audio, but get someone to transcribe it for you. Then you have the best of both worlds.

      I wasn't very aware of this, probably because I love both ebooks and audiobooks.

    It really wouldn't cost that much more to just patch the audio recordings into Dragon Naturally speaking for transcriptions. And depending on the nature of the information, you could eventually come back and produce videos of the info for just a little additional investment.
