I need to put a search something on my website to make it easier for folks to find the product that they need. Is there an easy script to do this?

Wordpress should come pre-installed with a search function, if your theme doesn't have a search box, then there are plug-ins for them. Just do a search.

If your using a straight HTML page (without wordpress...) you can always incorporate googles search engine. You can get it free and then just put in all your sites links (which should be easy if you have a sitemap in place already). Then, when the users searches your site using that it will look like google (unless you rebrand for $60/year) and it will show only the pages on your site.

You can also monetize the search function using adsense.

    Good Luck,

Yeah if you have wordpress you can add it to a 'widget' from your dashboard. I'm not sure how to do it otherwise...

If not WP... and not everybody has to have a WP powered site, btw - then there are zillion scripts that are easy to install and have the search on your site.
Try it: search script - Google Search
