The first thing that springs to my mind is whether or not sufficient demand exists for this niche service?

Common sense dictates that you are not to going to get a lot of custom from 150 monthly visits, even if you achieve 1st place ranking.

Would a Facebook campaign be suitable to his niche?

i know i have got plenty of page 1 rankings some spots 1-3 and trying to get more traffic is the problem. The thing is with this niche is that most of the work comes from online and the types of deals are 5 figures + my plan being if i can land him 1 then hes got a return on his invesment cause i only take on work were i can get them a return on invesment.

Facebook marketing wouldnt work for this niche neither would email marketing.

    :/ tough one isnt it

Perhaps offline marketing. But don't know since I don't know your clients niche.
Sounds like your client is some sort of broker?
Does he broker websites or online businesses?

The only thing I could suggest, and I'm guessing you're going to reply and say you've already done this, is to expand the keyword base that you're ranking for.

You may have to target even lower search keywords.

Also, don't forget about the power of images. I have a toy related niche and 50% of my searches come from Google images. Just make sure you annotate the images properly with the tags/title etc.

Hmm - Mikey - I gues syou have done everything that your competition is doing then - So your doing a good job - Maybe its time to explainto your client that this is the scope of the market in regards to how your targeting your potential customers -

It might be a good idea to also check where your competion is getting backlinks from - many of them might be great on topic forums, directories specifically for your niche and may even give you ideas of where to advertise - the niche your targeting may not have the best results with organic seo and search engine rankings you maybe better of leveraging traffic from other places - which im hoping you will be able to see the best places to do this by analysing your competion a little further

why do you need many prospects if your client can strike 5-figure deals?
Let's say, the niche is solar panels maintenance. You can't get more people to buy this service than there are solar panels. On the other hand, less prospects, more zeros in a check mean that you have to try harder on the site.
Let your customer make a video introducing his business, make simple page without much distractions and a phone number. That's all you can do. Prospect comes to a site, watches video, calls to your customer and they make a deal.
P.S. I'm not an offline marketing expert. Just using common sense.

    Mikey,
I have helped a client do well in a specialised arena with only 80 uniques a month but that traffic is very targetted. That's the key..nailing down the traffic.

That's one of the problems with just relying one marketing strategy (in this case SEO) as sometimes it takes a combination of multiple strategies to really magnify results for a business.

One thing you could do is find out where his current leads/clients are mostly coming from, and then implement a strategy to improve on that source to increase his results that way.
