Understanding how to use flippa ?

Hi Warriors,

Could someone be really helpful and just explain how you go about selling websites on flippa please ?

I mean as in the way you actually create the site, and sell !

Example.

1) Buy new web hosting (maybe a small, monthly one)
2) Create website.
3) Buy domain.
4) Use Addon Domain with the web hosting to link it to the website ? (Am not sure what this addon domain is. Is this how you add your domains you buy to your sites ? or do the domains just point to the sites ? )
5) List the site on flippa.
6) If the site sells, just transfer the whole webhosting account you bought to the buyer ?

Be very grateful if someone could just explain the whole process as it seems a little confusing for a new seller.

An Addon Domain is exactly what it sounds like, an addon domain to your main site. This is how you can add any domain you purchase to your hosting account. You can then upload any files you need for that domain.

There really is no step by step guide for transferring a website, which kind of sucks. This is because the instructions for each registrar and hosting service are something different. I would recommend using GoDaddy or Namecheap to hold your domains.

Selling a website is a three step process.

    1. Transfer domain - If you use either of the sites I suggested above, you can just "push" your domain to another user, free of charge.

    2. Site Files - I usually send or receive these by email. I then upload them to my hosting using a FTP, such as filezilla.

    3. Database - I also send or receive any databases via email. You then have to go to your cPanel and upload the new databases under the Backups section.

No one can give you that answer in a post. Many, including myself, have created 60 page ebooks to cover all of that. You need to be able to create a website or blog and do all the things such as acquiring hosting, setting nameservers, using addon domains in cpanel, etc.

Your e books by the sound of this post, are explaining how to do everything. This post wasnt meant to be about creating websites, and buying hosting, etc.
But just about how you go about, swapping a website from my own hosting, to a buyers hosting.

Don't build crappy sites just to sell. Build your own sites as a profitable portfolio, if and when you are ready to leave the business, THEN you put it up for sale, hopefully with some data, sales, emails, customers, branding, aging, you know - a real business. < This is when you make some real money on flippa.

I LOATHE this business model that you're trying to crack, so this is my opinion only however I can pretty much guarantee you that you will not make real money by designing and flipping quick websites on flippa.
Thanks for just thinking the sites i would like to sell are crappy. Are you physic or something. That wasnt the question that i asked ? And who stated i was novice at creating websites.

I read a few good posts in here on flippa.

But i think the best way to get to know it is test and track and see what the most successful people on there are doing. There are a few people that flip their stuff full time. When you have a look at the way they do things you can see why!
