Give To Receive? Free Banners

I've just published a free competition on my website Flabble
where you can get 1 of 4 free banners displayed.
All you have to do is be one of the first 4 to comment on this post.
I'm completely new to online marketing, and have been building this site for the last 3 weeks. This is the first time I've experimented with advertising, so I thought I'd give some away for free, to see how much interest it actually creates.
Does anyone else have any experience with banner advertising? Or using banners for reciprocal link exchanges?
Anyway, I'd quite like related sites (marketing) so I thought I'd give you all a heads up on this competition. It's simply first come first serve!
