Blogtalk Radio question

Sean McAlister and I are going to do a blogtalk radio show starting next week, and I have a technical question.

I have Garageband for my iMac. It has all those cool sound effects on it, crowds cheering - for me, of course! Intro jingles, etc. etc. I could make Sean's voice sound like a chipmunk on helium if I wanted to. Ahem, not that I ever would.

But is there a way to get those sound effects on to Blog Talk Radio? Can I upload them?

    Dana, you can upload and intro and a closing for sure. I'm not sure if you can put in the effects though. You may want to check with the folks over at BTR.

      I don't know for certain, but whatever you can cause to be heard while you are talking on skype can be played on BTR.

      Alternately, the only other thing that can be done is have files uploaded and subsequently played. You should just try it in a practice show and then delete the show.

      You could test it out, Dana in the next 10 minutes if you wanted to. Just upload to your show file and then try to play it during the show. See what happens.

      Please report back once you do.

    I haven't used blogtalkradio, so can't answer your question. However, I'm addicted to listening to it - Willie Crawford has produced some great shows available there, and there's a lot of other great content as well.

    Like a chipmunk eh?......Well once we get the answer to this question, I will have a few of my own sound effects....ahem!

    Thanks, Mike! First show is Tuesday at high noon.

    Charles, the test thing is a brilliant idea. Actually Willie Crawford is going to be interviewing Bev Clement at 10 on his Blogtalkradio show so I am going to listen to that and afterwards I will start testing what can be done on Blogtalk Radio.

    Sean - I just remembered - I don't NEED sound effects to make you sound like a chipmunk on helium!
