Looking for a Wordpress Plugin or other Software that does this ...

I just came across this site (not mine) and saw how they get user-generated content: www(dot)myhomeremedies.com/topic.cgi?topicid=345

As you can see in the above, someone leaves a mention of a remedy they have used for a given ailment, and people can then leave comments and ratings on each submission.

I would like to do something similar with one of my sites and was wondering if anyone knows of the best way to go about this technically? Ie, is there a Wordpress plugin that does this, or a software solution of some kind? Or even something that is similar enough to be edited to accomplish this type of thing.

I started Googling but it's hard to be sure of which terms to even Google.

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

    You can allow your users to submit posts in Wordpress by making them "Contributors." ... You can even do this by default so that each new user that signs up is a contributor.

    When the person is a contributor, they can submit a post, but it's held for moderation before being published.

    You can then just get a rating plugin for the rating aspect of things.

    Comments, of course, would work like regular comments on any post.

      Thanks Trivum, I'm aware of these functionalities and I already use them on several of my sites. But that is not what this is. I'm looking for a way to do what is being done on the example link which is quite different.

    I can't really see how it's any different. You have three components:

    1. A main section where the user contributes something.
    2. A rating component that lets other users rate what they've contributed.
    3. A comments section that lets others comment on what's been contributed.

    That's all there is to that site you've linked to.

      Thanks, that is not at all all that there is, maybe you didn't look at the whole page.

      But if you don't know of a plugin its fine, thanks for the suggestion. I am hoping someone does know of a plugin or customization which will do this.
