That's one approach. Another would be PLR content, though again, even for re-writing, you're not going to get anyone decent to do it for so little.

Basically, yes, but as I mentioned earlier, you can't hire an ordinary article writer since you need something on adult entertainment. Most ordinary writers won't take on such work and frankly, even if they were willing to do so, they would do a really bad job of it because they don't know how to write that kind of content.

You can get a junk writer on a place like Elance or Guru for that kind of money, but you'll get what you pay for -- what you get will be pure garbage which won't be worth anything. If you want something readable, you'll have to spend more.

Also, the adult entertainment niche is one which requires a particular kind of writer. Most general article writers not only will not take such a project on, but they also wouldn't know how to do such a project either since it requires a fairly specialized kind of writing.

If I were you, I'd bite the bullet and prepare to invest real money to have something written which is worth something rather than buying garbage which will be a waste of your time...

The only way Im touching 1000 words for $3 is as PLR, and then I am going to sell it to a lot of people.

I personally wouldn't touch 1000 words for any where close to $3. Add two bucks to it and then give it another 0 and we can talk.

For the sake of your business, I'd highly recommend NOT paying $3 for a 1,000 article.

I have no idea if someone was really offering that, but it's highly unlikely that you'll get a well-written original article for that price.

At that price, you'd be lucky to get a mediocre article at best. Likely, it will be a pieced-together article in broken English.

If you're really strapped for cash, try writing up the article yourself. Chances are, you'll do a better job than anyone who would accept $3 for that much writing.

$3 for 1000 words is a bit low even for Filipino and Indian writers. Usually expect about $0.50-$0.60/100 words. If you take the time to root through them, you can get some excellent writers at that price.

I'm not strapped for cash - I'm not being a low baller - I just remember seeing a post the other day and figured I'd come back to see if that's a real price.

I have no idea what articles should cost. I'm not really looking for an article per se - I just don't feel like putting in the time it will take me to struggle putting something interesting and optimized on the site explaining certain things when I already have a million other things to do. Like different forms of domination - something written on various different fetishes - what to expect when they use my services - that sort of stuff.

If you pay for quality rather than quantity it will be more than worth it in the long run, it will hook the reader in and even gain you more conversions, therefore paying for itself. I will always pay a quality writer more than "standard market price" which has been brought down by foreign competition.

Thank you all for schooling me a little on "article" writing.

I guess since I work in the adult industry I'm a little immune to it so it's no big deal for me - just another day at the office/bedroom. I forget how prudish people can be. It's okay though, there's something for everyone.

I'm not looking for raunchy - more classy erotica sort of something. Again, I'm new to this so I'm not positive what I'm even looking for.

I suggest you google adult webmaster forums, and you
may be able to find experienced writers of erotica advertising
there - in their sigs.

I'm a writer, not of low quality or cheap articles, but I have no
experience with writing erotica. I'm not averse to writing in that
genre, somewhat tasteful erotica and not raunch lol, but just do
not have experience.

I'm sure you can find someone who is very experienced and will do
a good job.

Be sure to ask for writing samples and if they have a site for their
freelance adult writing services.

You may even order one 500 word article and see how that goes. If
you like it, and they deliver on time, then order part 2.
