Squeeze Pages - Sending your opt ins, straight to the affiliate offer

If you're not using confirmed opt in, is it a good idea to send your prospects straight to the affiliate offer? I just watched an interesting video which suggests you should this and I had to ask for other opinions.

Will this not confuse your prospects? So they've just opted in to recieve whatever freebie you offered them, but they are then taken to some random page (Your affiliate product)

Good or bad idea?

You have a squeeze page without a confirmed opt-in? Yes, you should send them right to the offer after they enter the email address.

It's not really confusing it you set up your squeeze page correctly.

That's actually a quick way to send people to
    affiliate offers.

Your concern shouldn't really be if they will be
confused, rather, will they take action and buy
on the affiliate offer shown to them.

Granted, a confused mind does not buy... but
if your selected affiliate offer was good, that
small little confusion will cease to exist.

    I agree with Mike...

You should send traffic to the squeeze page
and then redirect them to the affiliate offer.

Now you can build your greatest asset
    and thats your list.

    Yes, that's fine.
If you have control over the page you're going to show then the confusion can be removed easily by adding a sentence: "Check your email; the freebie is on it's way. Meanwhile you might be interested in this offer"

Since I have not yet finished my new product, I always send my traffic to an affiliate offer after the opt-in. This way I have their info and I should make a few sales from it.
