How to add backlinks to a review site

I've launched a few review type wp sites.

They're built like this...

main url = genericcamerareviewsdotcom
post1 article keyword = model x review
post2 article keyword = model y review
post3 article keyword = model z review

I'm more concerned about ranking the individual product post's keywords over the main url keyword for now.

I want to use a link pyramid to promote.

Should I use the main url for the pyramid or should I do a pyramid for each post's url individually?

Or do both?

Personally, I would do a pyramid for each post's url individually. Your main URL will climb in the SE listings as a result of the individual product post's keywords gain position.

      • Yes I would agree. Don't overcomplicate backlinking. Basically Google just wants to see lots of backlinks pointing to your site (the higher the quality the better) which have your keywords in their anchor text. Just keep working on that and you will get there.
