  • I got into the Amazon game late as I chose to focus on Clickbank in the past. I have a few sites up and running and under 3 months old, but I haven't quite got to the stage where I am making daily sales just yet.

In the last week though I have made a few decent sales (one for $700 and another for $300 in the last few days).
In my opinion, the key is targeting the right keywords for your product. You need to be selling items that are over $150 in price ideally, and then try to rank well in google for the right keywords for them.

If you can get this right, the rest will take care of itself, because Amazon is such a well known brand that it converts really well.
I am confident that as soon as my new sites start sitting in the Google top 3, the daily sales will start rolling in.

I got into Amazon late, just before last Christmas in fact. At the moment I have 3 niche Amazon sites, plus a few HubPages.

I've been building on sales slowly and steadily, but what is annoying the heck out of me this month is the fact that I've made 22 individual sales of a variety of products, but only 4 have so far shipped, hence I'm still sitting on the rock bottom commission rate. This has never been an issue until this month.

I've had a few small sales on amazon, very disapou=inting, but then yesterday, I noticed a larger commission.
Turns out that I sold a SOny 999 TV.
Yeay, now I feel better again, maybe there is something to this.

Amazon cancelled all affiliates in my area, so they are not on my radar. From others I talk to I'm not really missing much.

Actually, there are quite a few warriors making a killing with Amazon. It's nearly all of of my online and offline business. Many of the most expensive products are better sold through offline marketing such as by telephone, direct mail, newspaper classified, magazine display ads, flyers, and business to business direct sales.

There are many methods, but I also do online marketing by writing articles on some hot competitive niches targeting buyers of relevant Amazon products. In my articles, I "recommend" products for targeted readers, with a link to one of my stand alone product review sites.

Here is a thread discussing some of the most successful Amazon affiliates and how they're doing it:

Do a forum search and you'll find more threads on how top Amazon affililiates are pulling in 5-6 figure monthly incomes.

Are there any ezines linked to or relevant to those 30+ k laboratory products :O or would targeting science/industrial based ezines be enough ?

I wonder how big those lists would be.

There are millions and millions and millions.

          Search in Google for:

          newsletter: laboratory products
          newsletter: science
          newsletter: industrial products

Write for these newsletters, position yourself as an authority, and you can earn the really big bucks by simply "recommending" $30,000+ Amazon equipment. Most of them will buy in quantity and other products as well because of Amazon's genius in offering related products and supplies.

Hint: Offer full contact info on your website such as email, telephone, fax, address, etc.

Hmmm, a lot of those results show up lab stores that provide sources for buying lab products, and newsletters providing latest lab news.

Wonder if I wrote a piece on something that requires the use of a lab product, or a review of a product itself if they would be interested in sending it to their list, considering they already recommend products to their list.

I've seen how this works in info niches, but yet to completely work-out how you do it from the physical product side of things.

            Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :p

What an interesting twist. Thanks, Paul. This is exactly why I love the Warrior forum.

Thats extremely impressive! how long have you been at it? Is it all from review sites? How many niches do you cover?

  • Ah didn't see the other part of your post, yet, what could I write to those newsletters that would make me an authority.

If I was to get a call asking me about the process of "mumbo jumbo" during its "mumbo jumbo space travel process" and how it works, think I'd be left speechless haha

I'm intrigued though, because those comissions for a sale sound so healthy.

Read some of the newsletters. That would be the level of writing you would have to match or exceed. You can do the same for any niche. Choose a market within your ability to write with authority or in which you can quickly learn with some research. Amazon has products for nearly every niche that I know of.

Currently I could write with authority on anxiety (though I'm not completely cured so I wouldn't want to attempt to until I am 100%), dog training, learning spanish, gaming, and obviously making money through ranking in the search engines and getting physical product sales (though I've promised myself that I'm not going to enter the IM niche just yet, not interested at the moment).

Though in your experience, how hard is it to learn enough through research to promote and speak of either those high-ticket products, or about the tasks which they perform or exist for.

You're hijacking the OP's thread. Please start a thread of your own or PM Paul directly. Thank you.

We now return to the original topic. For those who don't remember, it was: "How much are you making from Amazon?"

          Jason,

We've had this discussion before, including offering you specific reference material. I have been doing this for over 11 years, and have not always earned income at this level. As with others who are very successful, they began with the basics as mentioned so many times before, and scaled up.
