Unable to set default tab in facebook fanpage

I am unable to set a specific tab to the default landing tab in my facebook fanpage.

Does anyone know why this is?

How to get around it?

  • I can send you a link to a tutorial but you will have to PM me. You need to bare in mind that facebook will treat the default landing tab differently, depending on wether the visitor is a fan or not.

It's pretty simple, from what I remember. Once you have your tab set up, if you click the 'Edit Options' button, you'll see a menu called 'Default Landing Page'. Set that menu's value to the name of the tab you want to be the landing page, and voila!

    Hope that helps

I did exactly as you describe - but its always the WALL I'm landing at - and even if I'm logged out, tried it being a fan and NOT a fan - its always the same.
I've also tried several "Facebook Making Systems" - like with blog and iframe, also the SimpleSpencer - method- all of those people in the tutorials say: set the WELCOME tab as default - and I do this - and it does NOT WORK!! If anyone had a REAL answer to this secret - I'd be very happy indeed!!

    I suggest searching: Static HTML.

With this you will be able to add in tabs that you can have your own content on there.
