Question about file hosting to download

Is it possible to build a membership site with a shared hosting account where members will download e-book,software and tools etc.?

Is there any easier way to save the hosting space to avoid account suspension?

I am curious of knowing the kinds of hosting used by different file sharing websites like mediafire,hotfile etc.?

    Yeah I think it is possible, but if your membership site is large, this will consume your resources, I suggest trying something like Dropbox or Amazon S3 for file hosting/delivery

    Hi Monsor,

    I would recommend Amazon S3. It is very cheap and very reliable. I had over 10000 hits to a squeeze page with a 2 minute video and I paid under $10 for it.
