Monumental success & monumental failure

I had never done a Facebook ad linking straight to an Amazon product page and I wanted to see how well it would do and how quickly.

For my product I used the newly (that day) released album of the Gorillaz.
I chose the mp3 download product page, I figured it would be more of an incentive to buy if they could get it immediately.

I did a little demographic research to see who liked them, targeted my ad. Chose only the US, Canada, and UK.

I set my budget at $20, and my CPC at $0.02. (after getting it approved at $0.64, I've found they tend to not approve lowball offers)

My results were-

819 clicks overnight, so I'm not sure when my budget ran out, a few clicks at the 64 cents rate got thru as well.

For a grand total of -

1 sale

my commission = $0.80

It's a good thing I can laugh about it.
