What Is A Rebill On Clickbank?

by nicolas simpson 9 replies
Two weeks ago i got a sale on clickbank that says

AMOUNT = $7.49........... TXN TYPE = Sale-RB
two weeks later, which was yesterday i got
AMOUNT = $2.68..............TXN TYPE = Rebill

To tell you the truth guys i have absolutely no idea as to what is going on.
i got the feeling that it is good but it puzzles me as to what really is taking place. I am new to online marketing so if you could please excuse my ignorance.

I checked on clickbank as to what is a Rebill and what the process was like
put the information that i got was not straight forward plus it was info in regards to sellers.

So i will appreciate it if you could tell me what this means.

  • Are you affiliated with a product that has a recurring billing system, such as a membership site?

        That's probably what it is. It's supposed to be marked clearly on the front page of products like that, but typically it isn't. You might want to dig a little deeper on your affiliated product sites and look around.

        That's extra income for you each month based on just the one original sale with no extra work on your part.

    You sold something that had an up-front cost, plus a monthly cost for continued membership or access.

    The up-front portion shows up as a transaction on the day you make the sale (Sale-RB).

    Two weeks later the first monthly portion gets billed (Rebill). The next month, on the same day, you'll see another Rebill transaction for the rebill amount.

    You will continue to see these monthly transactions until the purchaser cancels their subscription/membership, always on the same day of the month. For example, always on the 28th.

    It also sounds like it could be something that had a 2 week trial for a fee, then charged the rest if it wasn't canceled.

    Somebody might have also upgraded their membership. If you look at your analytics you might be able to determine what product it was. You can then visit the product page and get more information if you really want to find out.
