Thread Closed But No Resolution...Oh Well!

by cbean 23 replies
Started a thread about a friend of mine and his problem of getting a refund....however as is the wont of owners of whoever here has the authority....the thread was closed!

However, the substantial issue still remains : Warriors should honor WSO Guaranteed refunds!!!

I also noticed at the time, "I was posting the link to the offending WSO...as people responding to the thread were accusing my friend of being lazy and an idiot or things to that effect for investing so much money his first time in IM and I decided that all should see the thread for themselves to make their own judgement..." and I then was unable to access the internet.....hmmmm...never happened before....DOS, Bad Karma or Omen....hmmm

Anyhow I realize that this is not what is wanted with the WSOs and I will advise him to use the WSO Helpdesk...if that works....seems kind of "old boys clubish" in here IMHO....

Cheers..

And as you noted, the thread is still up. You got your answer in that thread already: Contact the Help Desk. Don't start a thread in Main Forum about your refund issues with someone's WSO. And when any thread of yours gets deleted or closed, that's not an invitation to start another thread about the same subject.

Its a free country "internet", forum moderators/owners can do what they want to....its their forum!

As you can see, I have 160 something posts in 4 years...I have other things to do than hangout on forums....

Deleting, closing or banning don't matter to me, its their forum...but playing dumb or blind to injustices was never my thing!

      No-one is suggesting you do.

I locked that thread because you had been given the only useful recommendation you were going to get: Take it to the help desk. Mind you, there's probably not much any of us here can do to help your friend. We have no control over the accounts involved.

If there's proof that someone is refusing to honor a refund guarantee, the most we can usually do is restrict the seller's activities here in the future.

There are two sides to every story, and injustices are served in both directions. You want your friends' interests to be protected, but not that of sellers?

In your case, it may be a very real case of your friend getting the short end of the stick. But, just as often, the seller might be getting the short end of the stick.

If you had not linked the WSO thread, your post may likely still be open, because you started out on the right foot discussing the issue rather than the seller.

The moment you linked the WSO thread in question, then you were violating a very clear rule in the WF:
AND IF THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING....don't the others who may be like my friend need to be warned....the same way a Warrior likes the positives, he/she should take the negatives...that's life...

But that's the rule, so be it!

A question though, if I bought a physical product and it didn't perform wouldn't the Seller as well as the Manufacturer have some liability....."caveat emptor" wouldn't apply.....so why should it in this case.....the law recognize that principle....

Sellers should recognize also that its very easy for bad and good to go viral, so they should deliver or honor their guarantees.

So quit getting your "p..... in a knot" that's as dumb as it gets....If the forum wants to protect the integrity of the WSOs both good and bad has to be aired.....cause let's face it, most of you so called Gurus don't buy anything....its the trusting Newbies like my friend who get shafted most of the time.

All most Gurus and experienced IMers do is promote a lot of crap that they haven't even tried. Let a "launch" come out and see how soon most of you are ready to bombard people's email box with the praises and plaudits for the launched product and most of you haven't tried it. Cause most of the time some of you are not beta tester and are just promoting to your list.

I started with the issue but as I said people responding to the thread were attacking my friend and I decided to give them the link, so they could judge for themselves about the many excuses, delays, problems, refund requests and absence of the Seller over the past 10 days from his thread.

The Seller was supposed to manage the product and bring it to an income level before handing over to the Buyer after 3 months...That's the WSO......

Three months have passed.... no income....not on its way to an income....that's why people should be allowed to give their view.....I would rather err on the side of the innocent than protect the guilty....a link to the WSO would have help....its not my friend only....there are others....

The WSO was never delivered as touted and never performed as promised....and the irony of it all is that those who ask for a refund particulars are removed from the product and their slot is taken by another......

On a nonperforming WSO... managed totally by the Seller, perpetuating the cycle....I think it should be broken....especially when refunds are not forth coming..... that's all!

So you are removed from the WSO another person pays the money and fills your slot but you are not refunded.....is this right?

    Cheers....

You are not getting the point(s).

First, Main Discussion is not the place for this. You need to address it in the WSO thread, if you have purchased the product. That IS allowed, and actively encouraged.

In this case, your friend would have to be the one to address it. It's way to easy for someone to say, "I know a guy who..." If we allowed that, we'd be opening the door to all manner of abuses. Among them, folks making invented claims of fraud in order to damage someone's reputation. Most honest people would be amazed at just how common that sort of behavior is online.

There are people sufficiently unbalanced that a stubbed toe will be presented as amputation of both legs, and who would launch tactical missiles to avenge the perceived slight. Like it or not, those are the circumstances that shape the rules.

That's not a comment on your friend's situation. Just an explanation of why the rules are what they are. Address it with the seller, and in the WSO thread. If nothing is done by the seller, contact the help desk.

Posting in this section is not going to get any sort of useful result.

    Yawn...

People need to just stop buying things expecting the work to be done for them.... many WSOs are great, and you can make a lot of money putting the strategies into action, but many buyers of a WSO are lazy, and don't want to do it.

Its like new years resolutions and people buy gym memberships, then realize they're too damn lazy, and want a refund... come on.

      For the umpteeenth time.....

The WSO was about the Seller doing all the work....bringing the product up to a certain income level and handing over to the Buyer....if the buyer wanted or the Seller continuing for a monthly fee....

What's lazy about that....read the thread before commenting please....

Am I just drinking too much, or are you just being a moron? I mean that in a nice, kind way of course.

I looked throughout the thread and STILL don't see anything about you mentioned the seller doing all the work. Umpteeenth time ey? I don't think so. And I don't care to search for your other thread because I think this is absolutely ridiculous.

Also, since you accuse ME, of all people to be lazy... I'll go ahead and call you out on how idiotic you sound in your OP mentioning your internet access went out, and somewhat suggesting that there is foul play involved, because you're lashing out against a WSO... get real.

Anyway.... to the point, I'm going to go out on a limb here and accuse your friend of being lazy anyway, even though that isn't what I was saying in my post, but why are you the one fighting his battles? I'm sorry, but any friend of mine, isn't so weak that they can't do things themselves and they rely on other people to fix things for them.

Sometimes the word refund is just a euphemism for thievery. I see that more than I see vendors ripping off consumers. This forum is pretty open as far as communication goes so it's pretty easy to find people you can trust. I mean if someone is respected and is making a living at the forum why would they do anything to jeopardize their standing here?

But failure does not necessarily equate to scamming either. People fail in most of the things they try in making money. It took me 14 businesses before I could feel proud of my income. Of those 14 failed businesses I must of tried thousands of different marketing angles. Most of which failed eventually. But it wasn't some vendors fault I failed. It wasn't even my fault. Failure is a process. Once you learn how to correct the process you begin making money. Sometimes a lot of it.

That's my two cents a couple of times over I guess. What it boils down to is Paul is saying the only way to handle situations like this is on a case by case basis via predetermined communication routes.

I'm not sure which part of my post you're referring to here.

If you're suggesting that you intend to keep posting in the wrong section after having been told that's against the rules, I'm fairly sure you'll find that unproductive. It will almost certainly prejudice anyone here with whom you discuss the issue against you, since that avenue of behavior is almost exclusively used by folks who have no case, and wish to create pressure that's based on perception rather than reality.

Take it to the help desk, and what we can do, based on the evidence presented, will be done. Keep pushing it here and it's not going to help you or your friend.

If you're suggesting something else, I'll be happy to be corrected.

I am saying that the Seller isn't communicating and has gone absent....I did not buy the WSO but I encourage my friend to due to the Seller reputation and reviews....so over $2000.00 US should go down the drain....?

I am saying that I feel partly responsible for him being in this mess but it goes without saying that I agree with you and if the WSO failed....the Seller should be man enough and say so.....and refund and answer heldesk queries, emails etc...

The targets of the WSO weren't unreasonable IMHO....

Regardless of how you feel there IS a way to handle this and it does not involve the Main IM Discussion forum. GO TO THE HELP DESK. It's been said in this thread more than enough times. Sitting here and arguing about the merits of receiving a refund is pointless. Nobody that communicates in this thread will be able to help you--which is why we are all directing you to the HELP DESK.

Again... Go to the HELP DESK and they should be able to help you. You stated that you didn't care if you got banned. That's fine, but by continuing to argue in this thread (which is the wrong place for something like this) pushes you closer to the ban-hammer. How are you going to contact the HELP DESK to easily resolve this issue if you are banned...?

            cbean,

I think I may see part of the communication problem. I am not suggesting you take it to the seller's help desk. If they've been unresponsive, that's not likely to get you anywhere.

I am suggesting you take it to the Warrior Forum help desk. Tell them the URL of the WSO, the transaction ID and buyer's Paypal email address, and what steps you've taken to address this with the seller. If there's sufficient evidence, there are limited things we can do. They may not amount to more than restricting future sales here, and that will depend on how compelling the evidence is, but we will at least look at it.

Who's arguing, I am just clarifying for some who don't understand and no one can state that I named the WSO.....when I attempted to do so after my friend was called lazy and an idiot, the post was closed...

          Ok, I understand that but....

This is not Syria or Iran.....It's about honoring Guaranteed Refunds

Help Desk OK! But my friend will do that but I would hate for him to do this to someone else......If I am banned for stating what I have said well so be it.....

Members like myself are telling me not here, Okay soooo banning don't phase me but I hope Moderators are more liberal minded than some of you because the options open are Closed, Delete etc....

If what you're saying is true, so would we. We don't simply assume that every accusation is true, and we can't just start slapping people willy-nilly because of allegations. There are channels for this stuff.

As far as the mods being "more liberal"... What you're seeing is about as far as that goes. Normally, this thread would have been deleted on sight. And it would not be unusual for someone to get a short-term ban for re-posting a deleted thread.

  • Oh dear Lord God Almighty... can we just close this thread already?

Let me make this simple, cbean...

Paul is the moderator. Paul is the moderator because he has been here a loooooong time and knows the rules. He understands the rules and, why he doesn't have to explain his reasons, he usually does so the individual can learn.

Unfortunately, however, some people just never do.

Paul is not attacking you, cbean. He is telling you (correctly, I might add) that:

    a) This isn't any of your business. It's between your 'friend' and the seller of the WSO, and

    b) The place for this is in the WSO thread. Your friend should feel free to post his comments and concerns there. Who knows? He might even keep someone else from "making the same mistake". If, indeed, there even was one.

I have a few questions myself:

Why the hell isn't your friend posting? Who are you? The internet police? The staunch defender of the underdog?

Your friend, not you, should put in a complaint with the WSO seller's payment processor if he feels he has a legitimate refund coming to him.

I can tell you this: If you thought you would get help from someone by posting this here (again) and then smarting off, you've definitely shot all hope of that now.

I am cbean's friend who cannot get my refund. This guy has said he is looking into the refund and that all he is doing, looking!!! He has been stalling lots of others and its is ridiculous. He offered a guaranteed level of income for the sites in a specific time frame. A money back guarantee was part of the deal and now that he cannot deliver he is running.
