Go to the amazon affiliate site, there is a step by step process that they explain of how to integrate entire shopping menus straight into your site. Basically if you want what I think you want, you are looking to have the image of what the user is buying integrated into your wordpress site as it appears on amazon.

I don't think Amazon disabled anything. Amazon actually encourages hot-linking to graphics of products on their website.

Are you trying to hand-code this with HTML? Or did you go to Amazon's site, make your choices of what you wanted, and then copy and paste the resulting Amazon code into your page?

I would say you either inserted the code incorrectly, or you checked 'text only' when you were setting things up on Amazon.

I think, what Bradley said, must be the case with you. And if you are having problems in following Bradley's method then you can buy WP Robot Plugin to make automated posts for you , it works with major affiliate sites and their is more in it than can be explained right now, it will post amazon products (with images and texts both, and also your affiliate link in it) automatically on your wordpress site.

But as a matter of fact, if you can't follow Bradley's method then you may also find it difficult to setup the WP Robot plugin. It is not at all difficult though.

Right, it is easy, actually, but the first time is always the hardest for anyone. If you need help figuring out how to get and/or insert your Amazon store or product code, just ask. I'm sure you'll get lots of responses.

WP Robot is indeed the easiest way to handle all this. I just love that it can even insert amazon reviews. If you only have a few products then you should do it manually, though.

When writing the post, did you make sure to use the html mode?

Yea I tried to enter the HTML for picture + text and when I update the code is still there, but nothing loads on the wordpress. Plugins I find all say things like what's on this link

I tried on 2 different wordpress themes to see if it was maybe an issue with the theme.

Not really sure what you're trying to do but you can also "right" click and save the image to your computer. Then upload it (Media), copy the url. Then click on the "Add an image" icon, select "From URL" and paste the URL in. Basically get the image on your servers and link to it.

Or log in to your affiliate resources and create widgets, banners, etc. and paste that HTML code into your page/post. That way your affiliate link is already imbedded.

I went to the following referenced plugin ( post # 7 ) and found that 10% of the time, your affiliate links will be replaced by the affiliates likes of the Plugin owner. I am glad that that the owner of plugin is UPFRONT about it.

and my question to Rajiv Kumar is about the plugin that was referenced in (Post#12). Is this a clean plugin without any hidden gottachas.

Hi Rajiv,
Do you find any issues recently in making 1000's of sites with that plugin as you have mentioned ?
Do you write some of the contents yourself or just auto post ?
'coz I'm concern about Google has recently been very tight such auto posing amazon sites these days.

After getting the html text from Amazon, copy the product image from Amazon and save to your computer. Then, upload the image to your wordpress site, and open properties for the image. Paste in your affiliate link in there, so when they click on the image, it'll go to the product page in Amazon, complete with your affiliate link. Hope that helps, or is in line with what you're facing. KK

There's a way to create a shopping cart on your Amazon site too correct? I thought I remembered seeing a link so you can have them shop on your site then complete the order through Amazon. I feel like this would work out better from a customer standpoint to keep them on your site then checkout at the end through their site.
