My 10yo Daughter Has Her Own Website - Needs Help with a Banner - PRIZE :-)

Hi Everyone,

My 10yo daughter is starting her own little website message forum in the webkinz niche. I got her a domain name, etc. but she needs a header/banner for this sites home page. Gosh a theme would be nice too but she'd be so happy to have something up. She's trying so hard using MS Paint program but she needs help.

This site would have the look and feel of WebkinzInsider.com

Now, since this is her project. I asked her how we should pay for this. She wants to send in the mail a webkinz stuffed animal with an unused code for you or your child. (please, not a retired one, LOL)

Now, I can easily just hire someone to create this banner and pay for it but this would be a good lesson for her as she'll pack the box, etc. and mail to you with a nice thank you note:-).

My daughter could even provide a testimonial with her pic on your website. How cool and different would that be getting a testimonial from a 10yo that's taking some action?

If the pricing of a webkinz toy is not in line with your rates in creating a banner/header theme then PM me and we'll work something out. I do still want my daughter to go through the motions of physically sending out the webkinz toy to show that we need to follow through when we make a commitment doing something. A lesson that can be learned from other IMers that do take action.

I appreciate everyone taking this under consideration. I'll keep everyone posted on her progress. She's so excited!

If I posted this in the wrong section I apologize so please let me know and I'll move it.

Thanks!
Dennis

PS: Any suggestions on a message board software that's easy even a 10yo can do it?

    Dennis...

I think you could be missing a trick, I'd be happy to help, BUT...

why not use what she can come up with? It might add to the appeal
of the site. At least to see how well received it is.

The fact that it was done BY a 10 year old will certainly set it apart,
the back story alone already has the aaaaaah factor.

    Kindest regards,
    Karl.

I agree - have her do her own. You'd be amazed what kids can come up with. My daughter did her own business cards and they're awesome. Believe me, people like the kid appeal. (I'm sure my 14-yr old would love the trade, too!)

Don't forget to send me her link when she's all up and running for our Kids-in-Biz site.

Graphic Design is one of the creative work
          both online and offline.

I feel she should be encourage to practice
the art. By taking action in her early years,
she will become expert in the future in her
chosen career and that will generate a lot
          of revenue for her.

Let us guide her to succeed in this business.

Why don't you compromise, get her to sketch the header she would like then have it edited professionally

Nice to see she is learning some life lessons early
