Where do you find images for videos?

I don't want to just grab a bunch of random images from Google due to copyright issues, so I need an alternative. I know there's public domain and stock photos, but I'm looking for niche specific photos. Are those my only options or is there some hidden gem that you marketers know of that you'd like to share?

Just so you know, I need photos that would be relevant to service-related businesses (i.e., doctors, carpenters, plumbers, etc.).

I need to test some things out with this video marketing stuff, but I don't want to step on any toes in the process.

One of the best sites is Google images. Simply go to Google and click on images, find what you need, and you're set. I wish you success!

You must not have read the first part of my post. I don't want to get caught up in copyright disputes over unauthorized images. I'd rather play it safe and have free usage of the images from jump.

Use the advanced search option in GI and set the license to what you need. I use that often and get stuff that I can use. But you can go to Creative Commons and put your keyword in the search box and click. You should get a page with some graphics on it and up top you will see a bar with Google Image logo and a bunch of others. If you click on any of those, you should get graphics for your keyword with the CC license, which means you can reuse it. You may have to give attribution or a link or something. You are able to edit the image if it has a CC license as I understand it. But I am not a lawyer so don't quote me.

        Hope this helps.

You can still get images from Google images. Click on 'Advanced Search' up the very top under the search box and then go down to the 'Usage Rights' box and select either 'Labeled for commercial reuse' or 'Labeled for commercial reuse with modification' depending on what you want to do with those photos.

steverich listed Stock.xchng above - I like that one too - check the TOS, some won't allow commercial without attribution.

I also primarily have good results with bigstockphoto.com and istockphoto.com

Bigstock has larger images and typically a lower price - istock has a little better selection but are trying to bump up their prices a bit, so many images are more than one credit and there are higher end ones in their mix as well.

    Hope it helps.

freedigitalphotos.net is a great place for free photos you just have to give credit somewhere on the site. Be sure to review the terms of use for the photos.

I recommend the istockphoto.com to as they aren't very expensive and they have pretty good term of use.

You have to be careful with google images. Better off buying a media cd and using that or manipulation images with your own designs.
