Niche Social Network Vs Facebook

Hello Warrior's,

I was wondering what were your thoughts on creating a niche social network. I was just thinking of the possibilities of competing with Facebook for traffic. Knowing that this would be a niche site would definitely gain some interest.

I don't know with fan pages and what not if this was still a considerable idea.:confused:

    Never give up on your ideas. If you feel the need to do it, don't worry about someone else's opinion. Mark Zuckerburg never knew Facebook was going to be this big. Live your dreams man!! What's the old saying, if you build it they will come. But I would use Facebook Fanpages as a way to bring traffic to your Niche Social Network. Don't worry about competing with facebook. If you don't try, then you will never know the end result.

    Willie, I would agree with the others. Just make sure you've polled people and gotten lots of feedback before you take the plunge. Otherwise you could waste a lot of time and money.
