Newbies/beginners - Are you using a coach/mentor? What is the fee?

Hello!

I would like to hear from newbies/beginners who are currently using a mentor/coach (one-to-one)

- Can you reveal who he/she is?
- How much are you being charged (per hour/per session)
- Are you happy with the results so far?

Thanks for your replies

I'm not using a coach, I think I know a lot about seo, blogging and affiliate marketing

You don't really need mentor or coach because the Internet is very transparent place and you can quickly reverse engineer what other successful people are doing and simply copy their success.

Didn't had the luxury of a mentor. Learned everything from the net, especially forums.

But I think a good mentor can speed up the learning curves and save you a lot of time though.

I had something similar to a mentor a few years ago, we shared profits on a couple of projects. He came up with the ideas and I executed them. I learned a lot, but I would never straight up pay someone to "coach" me. Though I'm sure it can be really effective if the coach is good and really looking out for you, not just grabbing your money and giving you things you could get for free elsewhere.

Hey, I'm a newbie just registered a week or two ago, I would advise getting a mentor unless you are desperately struggling; however someone would most likely help you anyway if you do.

What I have done since I have registered is read, read and read. I intend to do this for a couple more week I believe until I have enough basic knowledge to start my first project then pick up skills on the way.

At the moment, I have deffinatley got a better understanding of IM since I have registered and thats through reading through threads like this and creating threads with question you may need to ask. The response to the question is amazing, you usually get the answer your lucking for in minutes.

However, on track I would rather save money which you would use to buy mentor lessons and save it for hosting, domain and advertising. Spend the next few weeks reading up topics you may either not know or may be rusty on. If it fails you always have that money to do buy some mentoring sessions if you need. It's all about patience and persistence really.

Yeah Warrior Forum is a good mentor. Try to master the search function (especially the Advance Search), you get any info with just a few clicks.

I think most mentors who offer their coaching services charge anywhere between $500-$2000 for a session. These are the "top" marketers who are so confident about their skills that they will charge you hundreds of dollars just for an hour or two. But most of the times, the stuff that they teach can be learned using other means such as researching the topics over here, or buying a product that gives you the overview of everything that you want about a particular topic. Such products are usually priced under $100, so they'll be a much better investment than a mentor.

Depends a lot on your financial resources and how fast you want to move. A good coach/mentor can help you see opportunities and avoid pitfalls that would cost time/money to overcome. They can teach you specific skills. They can introduce you to JV partners and the like.

If you don't have the cash, then start small and work your way up. I'm personally at a point where I know I need some good direction to optimize my marketing strategy but don't have the financial resource - so I"m doing things to GET that financial resource.
